Good Morning, Ladies

@Sassy7356    Such a cute picture! My Snickers is drying from her bath and going to lie in her sunny pen. It's 92 so she comes inside when she's hot.
Everyone: This morning I went with my son to Hopewell to take comics and supplies to trade to his friend from college who has a store there.
He has two store dogs, a beagle who is a newly adopted replacement for his old one and a Coon  hound named Squirrel girl. There's a store cat also that lies on the counter and glares at newcomers. I'd never been to the store and I'm glad I saw it and his friend who used to come here for dinner occasionally when they were in college.

We had lunch at a place that has a blackboard menu. The day's vegetables were fried green tomatoes and collard greens. Slightly Southern! We had a homemade barbecue with coleslaw and potato salad, iced tea. It reminded me of a movie set!
My son commented that you don't go far until you're in the country. Traffic was terrible on the interstate so we returned on the two lane which though twisting wasn't bumped to bumper. There are plantations along that road that follows the river but they can't be seen from the road.
Hay was in bales, and corn dry it's been such a hot Summer. He brought me home then went to work to relieve a helper. It was a good break and we were home in time for Snicker's bath.

Hey @possummink,   I leave leaves alone except for the deck and driveway.  I always thought that they blanket the ground and protect nature during extra cold times.  They have never bothered me laying where they land Smiley Happy

Hey @1Snickers,   It sounds like you and your son had a wonderful outing and lunch.  That BBQ sandwich, secrets in the sauce. Smiley Wink  Hugs!
