I've always been a fan of Eric Clapton.  Really enjoy his music.  I was lucky enough to see him in concert in the 80's and it was outstanding.  Recently came across a song, a duo, with Pavarotti, "Holy Mother."  Beautiful.  Just Google or go to YouTube.

I was a huge fan of Clapton's until I read about certain comments he made. They turned me off. I refuse to support someone who doesn't respect all people.

Oh, jeez, I thought he was dead.

Not my favorite musician, but I think some of his lyrics are great. His beliefs are his to own so I'm not judging him on anything but his music. I do, however, wish actors, athletes and anyone with a big following (and no  expertise)would stay off theur soap boxes - it tends to upset one side or the other. Stick to what you are good at.

There was a program abt his life  a few yrs ago .  His childhood was so sad,  with him being raised by his Grandparents  . He was always going from one band to another which kept him growing as a musician . The  he survived years of addiction , only to have his  4 yr old   son fall out of a NYC window to his death in 1991 .  I remember back in the day hearing of this when it happened . He wrotes Tears  in Heaven . He gained sobriety and  cofounded  an addiction  center called  Crossroads Centre in Antigua  to which

He has donated $30 million dollars .

Why in Antigua when there are far more addicts in this country and the UK where he is from? It sounds like it’s one of those “upscale” rehab centers.

Keep in mind that there are a lot of certain people who you might be very surprised to hear about that have made racist comments in the past....I cannot mention who they are due to community guidelines.
