@Epicurean  I saw that post on facebook the other day.  How tragic.  I'm a fanatic, lol.  No flame candles (only battery operated), no incense, no spray air fresheners (only renuzit solid).  On the rare occasion I use a teflon pan I don't let it get overheated. No smoking in my house and I'm funny about any cleaners.  All I had to read back in 2005 when my bird life started was that birds have sensitive respiratory systems.

Nice out today. Got an bit of shopping done and will do more on Sunday. Tomorrow is a day of rest. If you don’t count doing a ton of laundry and making veal parmigiana.

daughter and son in law settled on there house yesterday. Bought them a nice wind chime to hang on the porch.

It's nice and peaceful here at the fence.Brought some donuts coffee and hot chocolate.Relaxing now so I can get some things done today.Have a great day.

My big accomplishment today was getting the oil changed and the tires rotated on my car this morning,

I then went to browse a freestanding JCP store - whoo that place was a hot mess.  I can't shop with all that disorganization around me.

I then popped into a mall that I hadn't visited in a dog's age.  It's probably just me - place looked weird without Sears as an anchor store.  I parked near the entrance of Kohl's, another fairly crowded and disorganized store.  I decided to walk the mall and I'm telling you that you could have shot a cannon and not hit anyone.  Of course I was doing this around noon on a work day.  Still.... it's kind of eerie to be in a section of a mall and see maybe 3 or 4 other people.

My biggest gripe is, doesn't anyone sell decent leather or suede gloves any more?  I even looked at men's gloves.  Sigh.  I have gloves but I wanted a new pair in dark brown.  Oh that's another thing, try to find a dark brown pair of gloves (men or women).

I guess I can say that I got some exercise in

Bernie,I know how you feel. Went to Macy’s today. The store looked like a bomb went off,boxes all over. No wonder they can’t compete with on line shopping. Then went to home goods,as I love the store. It too was a mess.so much stuff crammed in you could not find anything. World market was good,but not for serious shopping. Just picked up a few little things for the house.

next year I think I will go all online. BAH HUMBUG 🤶🏻

@Epicurean  I think what bugged me most of all about JCP and Kohl's was that there were employees all over the place.

Employees,really? We walked all around Macy’s to find a open register. Only had 2 items but didn’t want to leave them there. No wonder there sales are down. Home goods on the other hand had at least 6 registers open,this on a Monday afternoon,no waiting at all.

think this week I’ll go shopping at a few local businesses.

I have had my shopping done for a while. The problem is I continue to buy things here and there,I find that you spend more when you get it done early.Now getting everything wrapped is another story.Hope your week goes well.

Hello, I'm glad to see the sun is out today.  We've had some gloomy looking skies lately.  I got nothing exciting to report 

Freddie did you say last month that there was going to be a follow up court appointment this month and that the children might be coming?

Hello backfencers   

Not a whole lot going on with me.  The only gift shopping left for me to do is pick up a gift card for my sister and get some nice looking money from the bank for my great niece's cards.

I haven't heard if eldest niece is inviting me for Christmas Eve dinner.  I was invited and declined Thanksgiving so not sure how this is going to go    

I think my eldest sister and I are having Christmas Day dinner at my house so I need to find out what she wants on the menu.
