Hello my friends! It was a busy day, but it was nice. The twins are so cute and they are eating well, both of them, really drinking up the breast milk from the bottles. I fed them both - they eat now when they wake up, usually about every four hours, but a couple time it was even six hours before they woke up, and we woke them then. Such sleepy heads. They are now 2 1/2 weeks old. It went well. Tomorrow Darla has to get in to the doctor when he can squeeze her in, shouldn't wait until Thursday. Her blood pressure was normal today, Praise God! But her headaches come every day, and she's bleeding, sure hope and pray she won't have to be hospitalized. She was up all night with Alyssa, but guess why that's why she was such a sleepy baby today. Her eye infection seems better now. Greg is such a good father to them and husband to Darla. Tomorrow Greg's Mom is coming to help. Thursday we have company coming, but if she needs to be in the hospital, then we'll have to cancel our company again. We had to before when we went there to stay overnight when she was pregnant and Greg was out of town on business. Friday I plan on helping there again too.
Prayer to the Holy Spirit
July 19 - Jesus Calling
Bring me all your feelings, even the ones you wish you didn’t have. Fear and anxiety still plague you. Feelings per se are not sinful, but they can be temptations to sin. Blazing missiles of fear fly at you day and night; these attacks from the evil one come at you relentlessly. Use your shield of faith to extinguish those flaming arrows. Affirm your trust in Me, regardless of how you feel. If you persist, your feelings will eventually fall in line with your faith.
Do not hide from your fear or pretend it isn’t there. Anxiety that you hide in the recesses of your heart will give birth to fear of fear: a monstrous stepchild. Bring your anxieties out into the Light of My Presence, where we can deal with them together. Concentrate on trusting Me, and fearfulness will gradually lose its foothold within you.
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
—Ephesians 6:16
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
—1 John 1:5–7
“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.”
—Isaiah 12:2

Good Morning! Hope you are all well. Gratitude, something I am trying to be better with. Since my friend Anne's passing, I have realized how she and her family would have liked one more day, one more frustrating moment, one more being upset at something. I think of this when I feel down or just not happy with something. Everything is a blessing and something I should be grateful for because they all bring me closer to God. Hard to do and I can get into a complaining mode far too often. My days are a gift and it is up to me to live them to the most and thank God for the small, little things that make up each one. Today's thread was especially helpful. thank you!
Hope Darla's dr appointment goes well and she gets relief soon. Prayers are coming!
Ladies, have a wonderful day filled with many blessings and ordinary miracles. I am going to work on being more grateful and recognizing and thanking God along my day. Be filled with joy, peace and love today and always!
Peace, Nancy

@nj, what you said about gratitude is so very true.
Accept what is,
let go of what was,
and have faith in what will be.
I remind myself of this daily.
@gloriajean, I'm so happy to hear the babies are doing well. I hope Darla's checkup goes well and that she starts feeling better. It is never easy when we are not feeling good.

Good morning ladies -- Gloria, I am so thrilled to hear the babies are eating and growing. That's wonderful!!
Prayers for continued improvement for the youngsters and Darla's condition to improve. If the blood pressure can stay down, maybe other things will fall in place.
It's great to hear that you had a good day with the little ones. The family seems to be adjusting nicely.
Praying for Darla's appointment to go well and she can be home resting while her Mom is there and the babies rest.
Things will get better, we know. Some darkness before the light and the light is near.
Ladies have a great day, we should all be grateful for another day to live in God's world.

Nancy, this positive thread really is also a gratitude thread! Thanks for sharing! Great post on being grateful. We used to call us grateful gals and something like that, remember Cakers? What was it again ?

Cakers - sure hope and pray for good test results for your DH.
Maybe Ds's surgery postponement is a good thing?
Gives God a chance to heal more.
