Daily Positive Thread for Sunday

Hello my friends!  Lori is on a trip - meeting up with a friend in Boston, got a text from her saying she's in Boston this morning, then later on another one saying Greetings from Maine, with a picture!  Her friend, Elicia, is on a two week road trip by herself to the East Coast and she wanted Lori to fly to Boston and she picked her up and drove her around.  A little break with her long road trip.  Lori comes back Monday night.  She said weather is cooler there.  Haven't heard how Darla is today.  Made a good meal with chicken again - using mayo mixed with garlic salt, etc. and coating the chicken with it and then in corn flake crumbs, it's always very tasty.  I call it my sister, Deil's baked chicken.   Staying home tonight and it feels good.

We only have so much time and so much energy in a day.  To use it grumbling
leaves less time for enjoyment and accomplishment.  Lord, may I focus on looking
for Your blessings in every part of my life.

are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.'"  ~John 20:29

I improving our personal lives, we can have unseen help.  We were not
made so that we could see God.  It takes an act of faith, a venture of
belief to realize God's unseen power.  Yet we have much evidence of
God's existence in the strength that many people have received from
their act of faith, their venture of belief.  God's unseen help is
effective here and now.  This has been proved in thousands of changed
lives.

I pray that I may make the great venture of belief.  I pray that my
vision may not be blocked by intellectual pride.

HEALED AND WHOLE

One day I dug a little hole,
and put my hurt inside
I thought that I could just forget
I'd put it there to hide.
But that little hurt began to grow,
I covered it every day
I couldn't leave it and go on
It seemed the price I had to pay.

My joy was gone,
my heart was sad,
pain was all I knew.
My wounded soul enveloped me
Loving seemed too hard to do.
One day, while standing by my hole,
I cried to God above
And said, "If You are really there,
They say, You're a God of Love!"

And just like that,
He was right there,
And just put His arms around me
He wiped my tears,
his hurting child there was no safer place to be.
I told Him all about my hurt,
I opened up my heart
He listened to each and every word
to every sordid part.

I dug down deep and got my hurt
I brushed the dirt away
And placed it in the Master's hand
and healing came that day.
He took the blackness of my soul
and set my spirit FREE!
Something beautiful began to grow
where the hurt used to be.

And when I look at what has grown
Out of my tears and pain
I remember every day
to give my hurts to GOD
And never bury them again.

Have faith in our Loving God.
There is nothing in this world
too big for our LORD.

May GOD bless you each and every one.

Mother Teresa Said...

Believe in Jesus trust in Him with blind and absolute confidence because He is Jesus. Believe that Jesus and Jesus alone is life and sanctity is nothing but that same Jesus intimately living in you; then His hand will be free with you.
Give yourself unswervingly, conforming yourself in all things to His holy will.
Love Jesus generously.
Love Him trustfully, without looking back and without fear. Give yourself fully to Jesus. He will use you to accomplish great things on the condition that you believe much more in His love than in your weakness.

June 11

Trust Me and don’t be afraid, for I am your Strength and Song. Do not let fear dissipate your energy. Instead, invest your energy in trusting Me and singing My Song. The battle for control of your mind is fierce, and years of worry have made you vulnerable to the enemy. Therefore, you need to be vigilant in guarding your thoughts. Do not despise this weakness in yourself, since I am using it to draw you closer to Me. Your constant need for Me creates an intimacy that is well worth all the effort. You are not alone in this struggle for your mind. My Spirit living within you is ever ready to help in this striving. Ask Him to control your mind; He will bless you with Life and Peace.

“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.”
—Isaiah 12:2

The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.

That chicken sounds good Gloria.

How long do you keep it in the oven and at what temperature?

Blessings to all.

Harlene - Oven temp. 350 - for an hour.  You can mix whatever you want into the mayo, sometimes I do poutry seasoning, some basil, whatever.  Last time I just added some garlic salt and that was good too.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Sunday

Good Morning!  Hope everyone is well. Nice Saturday for me here in MA. We had rain and it was chilly but not as bad as forecasted. Worked at the museum I am part time at and had a nice time. Met some lovely visitors and worked with wonderful guides.  Just adore being there.  Now with school ending this week, I will work at the museum more.  My weekdays are with summer school but I pick up more museum time.  Wish money was not such of an issue but always will be.

Gloriajean, how is your eye? I think mine is actually looking and feeling better.  The 2 antibiotics are beginning to help.  Cannot even tell you my relief.  Blessings!

Well, Mass today, laundry and just getting my apartment in order.  Life seems to be piling up all around.

Have a day filled with joy and peace and I am sure some much deserved rest!

Peace, Nancy
