Hello my friends! Hope your Sunday was blessed with many blessings. Ours was by a wonderful Mass this morning, great choir, and having our friends, Ray and Ann over for supper tonight and nice long visit. I made spareribs and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and our frozen carrots. Still everthing from our garden yet except the meat. They are our best friends, and a great blessing.
HE CARRIED ME
By Dennis Espineli Salcedo
I laid my head upon His breast
And felt a sudden storm of love
I placed my ears upon His chest
And heard the tapping of His heart
As He gently runs His fingers through my hair
I felt His love so tender and so true
Showing me how He really cares
Compassion flowing through and through
He touches like no any other
With healing in His hands
He comforts like a mother
He cares more than a friend
And then I looked into His eyes
And saw the fire that floods my soul
His beautiful love that never dies
Could make me love Him even more
As I remember the memories we shared together
Streams of water filled my eyes
But He wiped my tears like a father
Telling me there's no need to cry
And once again I saw Him smiled at me
A smile that lights the sunshine on my face
His misty eyes that set a prisoner free
He is my hiding place
I genuflected to show respect
I bowed my head, my knees I bent
Then with His arms He wrapped my neck
And dearly kissed me on my head
He suddenly drew me closer to Him
In His arms I can feel the heat
Inside my soul there's a star glistening
He made my world complete
I felt an atmosphere of love
And heard Him whispered on my ear
His voice as sweet as the voice of a dove
Saying, "My son have no fear."
I placed my life upon His hands
He held my heart as tender as can be
And on His soft arms I rested
Then He gently carried me.
BEYOND DEATH
Author Unknown
A sick man turned to his doctor, as he was leaving the room after
paying a visit, and said, "Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what
lies on the other side."
Very quietly the doctor said, "I don't know."
"You don't know? You, a Christian man, do not know what is on the
other side?"
The doctor was holding the handle of the door, on the other side of
which came a sound of scratching and whining, and as he opened the
door a dog sprang into the room and leaped on him with an eager show
of gladness.
Turning to the patient, the doctor said, "Did you notice that dog? He
had never been in this room before. He did not know what was inside.
He knew nothing except that his master was here, and when the door
opened he sprang in without fear.
I know little of what is on the other side of death, but I do know one
thing: I know my Master is there, and that is enough. And when the
door opens, I shall pass through with no fear, but with gladness.
The Witness of Action
There was a youth rally in England and young people from many nations were
discussing how the Christian "Good News" might be spread. They talked about
propaganda by way of the print and electronic media, by pamphlets and radio
sermons. They talked about video productions.
Then a girl from Central Africa spoke. She said, "When we want to bring
Christ's message to a village, we don't send them preachers or books. We
choose a good Christian family to go and live there. Their Christian example
usually changes the village."
There is an old saying: "Words push; examples pull."
Any good Christian is a walking Bible, even though he or she has never
quoted a verse. In fact good Christian example may be the only Gospel
illiterate people can read.
Once there was a man who dared God to speak.
"Burn the bush like you did for Moses, God. And I will follow."
"Collapse the walls like you did for Joshua, God. And I will fight."
"Still the waves like you did on Galilee, God. And I will listen."
And so the man sat by a bush, near a wall, close to the sea and waited for God to speak.
And God heard the man, so God answered.
He sent fire, not for a bush, but for a church.
He brought down a wall, not of brick, but of sin.
He stilled a storm, not of the sea, but of the soul.
And God waited for the man to respond.
And he waited...
And he waited...
And waited.
Finally he looked to God and asked, "Have you lost your power?"
And God looked at him and said, "Have you lost your hearing?"

November 22 - Jesus Calling
A thankful attitude opens windows of heaven. Spiritual blessings fall freely onto you through those openings into eternity. Moreover, as you look up with a grateful heart, you get glimpses of Glory through those windows. You cannot yet live in heaven, but you can experience foretastes of your ultimate home. Such samples of heavenly fare revive your hope. Thankfulness opens you up to these experiences, which then provide further reasons to be grateful. Thus, your path becomes an upward spiral: ever increasing in gladness.
Thankfulness is not some sort of magic formula; it is the language of Love, which enables you to communicate intimately with Me. A thankful mind-set does not entail a denial of reality with its plethora of problems. Instead, it rejoices in Me, your Savior, in the midst of trials and tribulations. I am your refuge and strength, an ever-present and well-proved help in trouble.
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. —Habakkuk 3:17–18
God is our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. —Psalm 46:1 amp

Bellabutterfly!!! How did you come up with that cute nic?
I'm so glad you look forward to the threads, there are times I think no one reads them.
I am feeling better - my hands are still aching, but I'm tolerating it better and not taking pills anymore for pain. Thanks for asking. But I cannot yet open cans with a can opener, no way, not yet.
