Hello my friends! Here's hoping you all had a very positive and blessed Sunday today! It's only a little after six, so there's a nice evening ahead too. I'm for sure getting better, I went to Mass this morning, first time since I fell, and it went fine, it was so good to be back, but our hearts dropped when our Father Mark announced that he's been asked to leave for another parish who's priest is ill, and he accepted to go. He is so well loved here and we'll miss him alot! Just 3 1/2 years he was here. So we pray for another good priest that God will send us. His last day here is December 6th. On the positive side, my chicken tonight really was delicious, I fried it in coconut oil, roasted it with the last of our chopped onions I had frozen and some kale, collard etc, greens, and I also added some wine! It was wonderful! I put the potatoes in it too, and we had a salad. Now that I'm doing all the cooking, Linus can't grill anymore like he used to, can you please give me some of your favorite chicken recipes? That would be good!!
There will be times in all of our lives
where we're treated very harshly and unfair.
And no matter how hard we look for the justice
we find that it just isn't there.
When we're offended and in pain, our normal response
is to retaliate and somehow repay.
For we want that person to see how it feels
to have the heartache we're feeling that day.
But as natural as it seems to want to get even
it's the opposite of what God says is true.
For He is desiring that His servants be different
and be Christ-like in all that we do.
As incredible as it sounds, He wants us to repay them
with a blessing instead of more pain.
And He will give us the power we need to be kind
and the strength we need to refrain.
We have to trust Him and fully believe Him
Knowing His ways truly are best.
We have to be encouraged knowing He saw the injustice
and let Him give us comfort and rest.
The person who offends us is not declared innocent
by the kindness we place on their head.
But God takes all the heartache retaliation would bring us
and gives us a blessing instead.

November 15 - Jesus Calling
Approach problems with a light touch. When your mind moves toward a problem area, you tend to focus on that situation so intensely that you lose sight of Me. You pit yourself against the difficulty as if you had to conquer it immediately. Your mind gears up for battle, and your body becomes tense and anxious. Unless you achieve total victory, you feel defeated.
There is a better way. When a problem starts to overshadow your thoughts, bring this matter to Me. Talk with Me about it and look at it in the Light of My Presence. This puts some much-needed space between you and your concern, enabling you to see from My perspective. You will be surprised at the results. Sometimes you may even laugh at yourself for being so serious about something so insignificant.
You will always face trouble in this life. But more importantly, you will always have Me with you, helping you to handle whatever you encounter. Approach problems with a light touch by viewing them in My revealing Light.
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O Lord. —Psalm 89:15
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” —John 16:33

Thanks for asking gloriajean. He is having a feeding tube inserted to day as his food is going 1/3 going in the right way and 2/3 are going into his lungs and he was choking.
He has been ill since June and is very weak, unsteady on his feet and has lost 30 some odd lbs. tho he was eating pretty good at home (just not as much as normal). we rushed him to hospital on Monday due to urinary track infection.
I know prayers will see us through this hard time. I thank God, the Blessed Mother and St. Jude for being there for me at this time.
Your prayeers and all the ladies who prayed for him I thank again.

Oh my, Jamma! I remembered him in my chaplet of Divine Mercy today too along witht the Memorare:
REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
May her intercession bring about God's healing power upon your husband. God bless him and you.
