Among Friends

Hello my friends!  My three days in a row are up now for this week, and I don't go back until Tuesday, unless Monday night Darla wants us just to spend the night, not be on twin duty but just so she isn't alone.  Greg leaves at 3 AM Monday morning for Savannah, GA for work for a week. That's his work's headquarters. He's an electrical engineer and can work at home but go there every once in awhile to his boss to work on some things.

Wednesday night we will be on Twin Duty so she can sleep - and enjoy her Thursday next week.  She has a massage by Lori planned, and starting her PT with the same lady we have.  The twins are definately knowing what I"m saying to them - they listen and they respond.  They listen to  Shhh and when I say don't cry to Grandma, it's not a coincidence that they stop and smile.  Such sweethearts.  Of course, if they are in pain, they will cry, and we try to get a bubble out. They both like it when I change them, they may be crabby, but when I start to change them they are happy little girls.  We like to hear their coo's.  Tonight I went into Aria's bedroom to take out the soiled diapers, and forgot she was in bed, but she wasn't sleeping, and she started to say something in her language, and it was so cute, I went over to her and talked to her, and said I was going home now and she should be good for her Mom and Dad now.  She listened to me and just laid there, and talked her way.  They both make me smile!

Such blessings from God!!

I can come to God in faith and God will give me a new way of life.
This new way of life can alter my whole existence, the words I speak,
the influence I have.  They can spring from the life within me.  I can
see how important is the work of a person who has this new way of
life. The words and the example of such a person can have a wide
influence for good in the world.

TURN YOUR SECURITY SYSTEM ON!

A horrible thing happened to me today.....a thief broke into my house. It
happened shortly after I awoke this morning. I got up and began rushing
about. I had a thousand things on my list and was already running behind.
Quickly, I gulped down breakfast, took a shower and got ready for work.

In my rush, I forgot to turn the security system on at my house. It was just
about a half an hour later that the thief broke in. Of course, he didn't
make a sound. Just kind of snuck inside, not drawing any attention to
himself. In fact, none of the neighbors ever saw him.

But, I did.

You see, I WAS HOME when the thief broke in.

He naturally startled me, as I was unprepared for his visit. He, of course,
didn't announce that he was coming and I certainly had not invited him over.

And yet, I found myself face to face with danger and I felt so powerless. I
also felt so very stupid, because this whole incident could have been
avoided if I had just taken the time to turn the security system on.

You better believe I'll be turning it on tomorrow morning! I thought I'd
warn you about this guy, because he's still on the loose. Chances are, he's
in your area. Possibly even headed for your house.

His name? His name is Satan. You see, this morning when I jumped up in my
haste to get started on my busy day, I skipped my prayer time - opting to
"pray later today." In other words, I DIDN'T TURN ON THE SECURITY SYSTEM. My
defense wasn't on, my guard was dropped ..... and when the thief came into
my home to attack me, I was unprepared to do battle. He tempted me and I
felt powerless. Like I said, I also felt so very stupid, because I could
have avoided the incident if I had just taken the time to pray.

My friend, the thief has come to "steal, kill and destroy." And, as a Child
of God, you are on his "hit list." He'll probably pop over to your house
today. He may be lurking outside your door right now, just waiting to catch
you off guard.

Take time to pray this morning. Ask God to bind Satan from your very
presence, to protect you and empower you to do battle. In short ..... don't
forget to turn your security system on.

Good Morning!  It is Friday so that always feels good.  Except for an oil change and my usual errands, no plans for the weekend and i couldn't be happier.  Need some slowdown time and cannot wait.  It is definitely feeling like fall so that will make for a cozy weekend.

I pray you all have a blessed Friday and that the day is filled with joy and happiness.  Cherish each moment and embrace the ordinary miracles.

Gloria - so happy you can experience the small changes with those little ones each week.  It is priceless, brings a smile to my face.  All of your family is benefitting from the closeness and encouragement you all can bring to each other.  It is special, to live so close, that you can be in your GD's lives from the very first moment forward.  What a wonderful gift.

Nancy - it seems the weeks are flying by.  Another Friday is upon us, we can relax the next few days.  I'm happy you have a relatively slow weekend planned, it will give you sometime to enjoy the last few warm, sunny weekends.  Get out and enjoy, if you can.
