Hello my friends! Temp wise very nice out, but very windy! We put our plants out on the deck now, as it won't freeze anymore. Had a nice visit with Father Jerry, now Linus is on his way to pick up my 93 year old sister, Deil, for the weekend. I'm making chicken vegetable soup, it should be done when they come back here. Other than that it's an ordinary but windy day here! God bless the warm weather coming our way!! God bless each and every one of you!
Sometimes we spend our time demanding that the present moment be
different than it is instead of facing the situation and dealing with it.
Lord, strengthen my faith because through You I will have enough power
to overcome any obstacles.
S C R I P T U R E F O R T H E D A Y
"We, however, will not boast beyond limits, but will keep within the
field that God has assigned to us, to reach out even as far as you.
For we were not overstepping our limits when we reached you; we were
the first to come all the way to you with the good news of Christ. We
do not boast beyond limits, that is, in the labors of others; but our
hope is that, as your faith increases, our sphere of action among you
may be greatly enlarged, so that we may proclaim the good news in
lands beyond you, without boasting of work already done in someone else's sphere of
action. 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" ~2 Corinthians
10:13-17
M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y
I can try to help others. I can try not to let a day pass without
reaching out an arm of love to someone. Each day I can try to do
something to lift another human being out of the sea of discouragement
into which he or she has fallen. My helping hand is often needed to
raise the helpless to courage, to strength, to faith, to health. In
my own gratitude, I can turn and help others with the burden that is
pressing too heavily upon them.
P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y
I pray that I may be used by God to lighten many burdens. I pray that
many souls may be helped through my efforts.
The Anatomy Of A True Friend
Eyes:
Will always see you for the way you really are, your true self.
Ears:
Will always have them open to listen.
Mouth:
To always tell you the truth and give their opinions, tell you when you
mess up or do something good.
Shoulder:
Will offer when you need one to cry on, will be your strength when you
find it hard to carry yourself. Will always let you lean on them.
Heart:
To love you for who you are and not judge, Will always have a place there
for you.
Hands:
To hold yours when you need a little guidance, to lend when you need
help, and to help you up when you may fall.
Arms:
Will always make you feel comfortable in them and to offer hugs when you
need one. Will try to warm when you are cold.
Feet:
To walk with you throughout your life and be the best friend they can be.
23rd Psalm For The Workplace
The Lord is my boss, and I shall not want.
He gives me peace, when chaos is all around me.
He reminds me to pray, before I speak in anger.
He restores my sanity.
He guides my decisions that I might honor Him in all I do.
Even though I face absurd amounts of e-mail, system failures, copier jams, back-ordered supplies, unrealistic deadlines, staff shortages, budget cutbacks, red tape, downsizing, gossiping co-workers and whining customers, I won't give up, for You are with me.
Your presence, peace and power will see me through.
You raise me up, even when the boss fails to promote me.
You claim me as your own, even when the company threatens to let me go.
Your loyalty and love are better than a bonus check.
Your retirement plan beats any 401K, And when it's all said and done, I'll be working for you a whole lot longer!
Thanks be to God!

In One Basket
Sarah was a cheerful, pleasant, person, who worked hard to communicate in a culture that was quite foreign to her. She read books to learn the language, watched TV to study the vernacular. She hired out to families, taking care of babies as a newborn-nurse.
This young woman had put all her trust and all her hope in the man she married. She looked to him for her every need. However there were long hours, long nights, long weeks away from her new husband. She was far away from family, friends, and almost anything familiar.
Things seemed as if they were going OK. Then they found her, nearly dead… an attempted suicide with drugs and alcohol.
What really nearly killed her was disillusionment. Her trust and hope had been crushed beyond anything she could cope with. She had made her husband the ‘everything’ in her life; when he left her for someone else her great giant hope for happiness crumbled.
People are just people; not perfect and not God. Sooner or later people will say or do something that doesn't meet our expectations and we will be disappointed. There is only One Hope that will never, ever fail us. We can count on Him. Putting all our eggs in one basket will work only when the basket is the Lord. There will never be a problem with Him not meeting our standards or disappointing us. Jesus is, and will always be, there to trust and lean on.
GOOD WAY TO START THE DAY
Author Unknown
Dear God,
I'm writing to say I'm sorry
For being angry yesterday
When you seemed to ignore my prayer
And things didn't go my way
First, my car broke down
I was very late for work
But I missed that awful accident
Was that your handiwork?
I found a house I loved
But others got there first
I was angry, then relieved
When I heard the pipes had burst!
Yesterday, I found the perfect dress
But the color was too pale
Today, I found the dress in red
Would you believe, it was on sale!
I know you're watching over me
And I'm feeling truly blest
For no matter what I pray for
You always know what's best!
I have this circle of E-mail friends,
Who mean the world to me;
Some days I "send" and "send",
At other times, I let them be.
When I see each name download,
And view the message they've sent;
I know they've thought of me that day,
And "well wishes" were their intent.
I am so blessed to have these friends,
With whom I've grown so close;
So this little poem I dedicate to them,
Because to me they are the "Most"!
So to you, my friends, I would like to say,
Thank you for being a part;
Of all my daily contacts,
This comes right from my heart.
God bless you all is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until we write again.
God Bless You.
Mary, Queen of the Universe
Immaculate Mother,
I give you all the sufferings of my life
For the appeasement of Divine Justice and the salvation of souls.
Please hold and protect my loved ones and me
In your Immaculate Heart!
Amen.
April 14 - Jesus Calling
Heaven is both present and future. As you walk along your life-path holding My hand, you are already in touch with the essence of heaven: nearness to Me. You can also find many hints of heaven along your pathway, because the earth is radiantly alive with My Presence. Shimmering sunshine awakens your heart, gently reminding you of My brilliant Light. Birds and flowers, trees and skies evoke praises to My holy Name. Keep your eyes and ears fully open as you journey with Me.
At the end of your life-path is an entrance to heaven. Only I know when you will reach that destination, but I am preparing you for it each step of the way. The absolute certainty of your heavenly home gives you Peace and Joy, to help you along your journey. You know that you will reach your home in My perfect timing: not one moment too soon or too late. Let the hope of heaven encourage you, as you walk along the path of Life with Me.
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.
—1 Corinthians 15:20–23
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.
—Hebrews 6:19
