I hate February too...with January being a close second!  It's dark, dreary, cold, gray, brown, colorless, icy, & bleak.  All I want to do is sleep and eat unhealthy things.  I can't wait for the warmth, color and sunshine of spring!

Where I live in the northeast summer is usually bearable.  Even on the hottest & most humid of days it only lasts for a few of days at a time and cools off often.

Our local weatherman once said that in the record books, November is consistantly the most overcast, gloomy looking, sun deprived month of the year.

@haddon9...yes, eating not good stuff in the winter months, tonight I had a slice (small) of pie with ice cream and just finished a glass of milk and 3 oreos.....

I’d concur with August because it’s so darn hot, muggy and buggy in the south.

January because it's a long cold month.  I usually take two weeks vacation at the end of December, plus there are holidays.  I end up with almost three weeks off.  Then starts January and the next work holiday is memorial day.  It's sad thinking five straight months with no time off unless I take vacation.

@Mom2Dogs  that's good - Janfebmar - Sounds exotic, but we know how wicked it truly is. We do slip away to my daughter's place in Gilbert, AZ the third week in February. That's how we make it through February. Daughter visits Midwest when its so hot in August. Brother lived in San Diego. I guess it's good there all 12 months, according to his testimony.

I don't like winter but I do love the holidays.  About 6p.m. on Dec. 25th, I am ready for summer.  So JanFebMar are not my faves at all, especially Jan/Feb.   At least in mid-Mar, spring happens on the calendar, so hope springs eternal.  I am getting old and the wonder of winter is wearing on me.  I would like to move somewhere where they don't know what a snow shovel is!

Another vote for August. In NYC it steams and stinks. Hot, hazy and humid- feh.
