Re: *Coping* - How are U Coping?

[ Edited ]

What a thoughtful question @JoyFilled Warrior

I cope through faith, hope and extreme gratitude.

I've cheated death several times including being held up with a gun to my head (twice) and a ruptured aneurysm. I am grateful for every day, every precious moment. For my family, friends and beloved fur children past and present.

I admire kindess and try to live my life by that golden rule.Heart

Worry and fret is not a badge of honor and is actually damaging to your health and the world.

To answer your question, I cope by knowing that G-d has my back and understanding what is said in the scriptures is also helpful: even if trouble is ONE mile from your door, do not fear

Weird, but it works for me!  Just don't get caught up in the season!  This too shall pass!

I don't say this because I think I'm perfect.  Certainly not...none of us are. My relationship with God is what "gets me through it".  Through prayer and reading my Bible over many years my relationship with Him has grown to something I never knew possible when I was younger. Somehow it gets me through "the getting through" parts of life. There have been many of those in my life ever since a young child.  Do I get tired of it, yes, sometimes I do, but He always brings me thru it.  Do I like the pain?

No, I don't but there again, He helps me not to give up.  I know I could not do it in my own strength.

Re: *Coping* - How are U Coping?

It varies from day to day!  However, I do cope by depending upon prayer.  I get relief from exercising as much as I can.  On the opposite end, I eat something sweet!  I love watching a comedy, a reality, a murder show with DH.  I also love to read.  I have always loved shopping but I don't do this as much as I used to.  Not many interesting places to shop at that are near me these days.  I also text or e-mail a friend at times and check in with them.
