Coping?  That's loaded right now.

1. My dad died 2 years ago on Dec 21. On the funny side, he gave the gift of covid to 3 of us the last time we saw him. Luckily we all had been vaccinated so they were mild cases.

2. I was recently diagnosed with an eventually terminal brain disease. Thank goodness it is now vs even 10 years ago. Medical advances have done wonderful things. But there is no cure and most of the research funding has been stopped.

3. My heart hurts for our country.

4. Most of all, I stand strong in my faith no matter what. I went to a Mass of Anointing since I was diagnosed. I had been a total basket case but walked away so much calmer and that calm has remained with me.

@CalminHeart you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Faith is so important and there is no greater thing than hope. I always say that sometimes it's all we have. May God bless and keep you. Sending warm hugs your way...

What a thoughtful question @JoyFilled Warrior

I cope through faith, hope and extreme gratitude.

I've cheated death several times including being held up with a gun to my head (twice) and a ruptured aneurysm. I am grateful for every day, every precious moment. For my family, friends and beloved fur children past and present.

I admire kindess and try to live my life by that golden rule.Heart

@Mom2Dogs

clothes shopping with husband...it is a chore.

I had NO idea!  I usually shop for him.  Now that he's retired, I guess he feels like doing it himself.  Man alive!  I told him that was my last clothes shopping trip with him.  I don't even shop in brick & mortar stores for myself any longer.

My heart goes out to you for what you're facing Smiley Sad  I hope there are medications to help you thru this with minimal pain.  Your faith will go a long way in coping and navigating this very difficult time.  Is your family close?

I thought it was @San Antonio Gal .  She didn't have to do that and was with a rowdy group of girls.  They were having a great time but she took time to offer me a compliment Smiley Happy

I'm coping by leaning into, & appreciating a sense of momentary relief from recent worry & concern

My "Northernly situated" sister, & bro-in-law seem to be finally safer now.

She seems to be already enjoying the much anticipated, profoundly available company of her newly, very newly retired hubby

She is merely hours away from celebrating her next birthday.

Worry and fret is not a badge of honor and is actually damaging to your health and the world.

To answer your question, I cope by knowing that G-d has my back and understanding what is said in the scriptures is also helpful: even if trouble is ONE mile from your door, do not fear

@ThinkingOutLoud

do not fear

And how many times, in the Bible, did God say "fear not"?

365.  Once for each day of the year.
