I usually never answer.  But in the case of the "Microsoft Guy", my husband had a little fun with him.  He is a technology professional and got a kick out of it.  It also stopped the scammer from calling how many other countless people for the time he was hung up on our phone line.   At least for that amount of time, no one got ripped off.

omg. that is a great thing to tell them. my mother in law get calls like that all the time.
