I've never wore them but my friend has for years.   When she's going to be on her feet for an extended period mostly, not at home.    She likes the wild colors and patterns.   Amazon has a great selection.

Re: Compression socks.......do they help?

I have poor circulation and edema. My doctor told me to wear medical compression calf high stockings.

He gave me a script to get fitted with the right size. I'm glad my insurance helped pay for them. They were $60.00 a pair years ago. I wouldn't suggest anything that doesn't come from a medical supply facility. I was fitted by an RN.

They really do work.

@Golden_Oldie I agree with you about the importance of being fitted by a medical professional.  BUT you can save a lot by purchasing over the internet after you buy that first pair from the medical supply facility.  I have no swelling, just "leaky" veins in one leg that was injured in an auto accident years ago.  My doctor recommended support stockings that are firmer than the ones on the Q.  After my first visit to a medical supply house (where I almost keeled over at the price of one pair of these babies), I searched the internet and saved $20 a pair by buying online.  The brand I buy is Sigvaris, but there are several really good brands, all at such a better price online.

@shoesnbags Thank you for the information, especially the brand you wear.

Do online suppliers accept insurance co-pays? Thanks again.

Re: Compression socks.......do they help?

@Golden_OldieWhen I bought my first pair at the medical supply store I was told that the compression stockings didn't qualify for insurance, which surprised me.  They didn't even ask me which insurance I had.  My doctor had written "Sigvaris 20-30 compression knee high" on a prescription sheet.  That's why I didn't hesitate to look for a cheaper source for the stockings.  That was about 2 years ago, and I've been just paying out of pocket.  Hearing that yours are being covered by insurance makes me think that I'll look into the insurance issue again.  But I thought that this very large medical supply store affiliated with a large hospital knew what they were talking about.  Sorry I can't be of any help as to using insurance with an online store.  I think that you'd have to pay the store and then file for reimbursement from your insurance co.

I am thinking of getting a pair for our trip to Disney later this year.....by the end of the week, my legs hurt and my feet start to swell. Would they help?

I wear my Go Walks and alternate shoes....but we walk alot with my daughters family..... average was 7 miles a day.

@Nataliesgramma

IF I can get them on . . . they make my legs swell.
