We found a winner at Costco on Monday!!!!!!

An advent calendar that was only a couple of inches shorter than me (yes, we set on the floor and backed into it) and was ONLY $199.

We were cracking up calculating how much IRA to withdraw for all my grandkids.

No TV station, early store displays or commercials could ever make "holidays meaningless" to me.

I've said before I had a Hallmark and gift store for years..

We starting ordering Christmas in April...So it was pretty much year round for me..and I loved it..but I will never forget the true meaning of Christmas.I can always remember a couple of kids of my customers..There eyes were bigger than the money they had in their pocket..most times I gave them the present for what they had in their pocket..which was fine..with me...I always tried to help. The kid smiled ear to ear.

After Christmas the kid's Mom came in the store and knew the kid didn't have tht much money..She asked "do you think he stole it?"..I said NO WAY I just gave him a big discount..and we laughed...

Besides the real meaning of Christmas...it's my kid's birthday.

I am already so tired of Christmas.  Sure seams like it all started way earlier this year.  All holidays seem meaningless anymore with all the hoopla and commercialism...

If you choose to look at all holidays as meaningless it's because you choose that persepective.

Correct. As I said, with all the BUYING and commercialism that is encouraged to me that is meaningless.  I guess cause I am older a quieter and slower paced holiday is more to my liking.  I realize some people love what I do not.  Just expressing my opinion.

I know why the retailers call it  Black Friday.  It's the biggest spending day of the year and all that money puts retailers "in the black" vs in the red.  Black is good.

No matter how early the holiday season starts @bargainsgirl , it would never become "meaningless" for me and many others. I personally need all the time I can get and love all the ideas introduced.

Currently this is right in the middle of my busiest time of the year. My table is covered with my crafts I am making. I already wrapped a couple gifts and am in full force into my Christmas shopping and preparedness.

No Christmas decorations up yet but I am still in the spirit and can never get too much. There are several shopping channels to choose from, so far there hasn't been an hour that all of them are Christmas themed.

I love the holiday movies already showing, the commercials, the stores, and the shopping channels. Love it.

Yay! Honestly, I thought everybody knew that.

You wouldn't believe how many people "think" they only have to make the first deposit.     I've filed against debtors in almost every U.S. District Bankruptcy Court in the country.     di

Fast fact alert. Christmas will always be what you want it to be.
Whether religious or secular or a mixture of both.

I can think of more important things to be tired about. If one really thinks about it how does early shopping, shows, displays really affect one's life?

Lives change, priorities change, but how one allows to be bothered is a waste.
Christmas will always be a variety of things, and will not change.

🎄🎅🤶🕯️⛪

That works for you. That doesn't mean it has to be that way for others.

@bargainsgirl.

You can certainly express your opinion. Posters can respond with their observations whether in agreement or not.

We see this all the time and it's nothing new about CIJ, early shopping, decorations in stores etc.

Around here Spirit Halloween just covered the outdoor Halloween banner with a Spirit Christmas banner.🎅😁

If you are tired of it all remember others are not. You cannot change this so just find other things that do make you happy.

You are not alone in your opinion but honestly it really doesn't matter as if it takes away from your life.

Personally I find ridiculous secular Christmas songs annoying but they are here to stay.

Keep Christmas your way and remember many cannot even afford a simple gift or food.

There will be something to perk you up.

Have a peaceful holiday season.🙂

I never said my way has to work for everyone else.🙄

The intention was never meant that way. And you know this.

Have a peaceful day.
