Fast fact alert. Christmas will always be what you want it to be.
Whether religious or secular or a mixture of both.

I can think of more important things to be tired about. If one really thinks about it how does early shopping, shows, displays really affect one's life?

Lives change, priorities change, but how one allows to be bothered is a waste.
Christmas will always be a variety of things, and will not change.

🎄🎅🤶🕯️⛪

That works for you. That doesn't mean it has to be that way for others.

@bargainsgirl.

You can certainly express your opinion. Posters can respond with their observations whether in agreement or not.

We see this all the time and it's nothing new about CIJ, early shopping, decorations in stores etc.

Around here Spirit Halloween just covered the outdoor Halloween banner with a Spirit Christmas banner.🎅😁

If you are tired of it all remember others are not. You cannot change this so just find other things that do make you happy.

You are not alone in your opinion but honestly it really doesn't matter as if it takes away from your life.

Personally I find ridiculous secular Christmas songs annoying but they are here to stay.

Keep Christmas your way and remember many cannot even afford a simple gift or food.

There will be something to perk you up.

Have a peaceful holiday season.🙂

I never said my way has to work for everyone else.🙄

The intention was never meant that way. And you know this.

Have a peaceful day.

This may seem cruel to some but when my kids were litle and they woke up CHristmas morning we  went to Mass before the gifts were opened.

Not cruel at all.
We usually went to midnight Mass but I think your tradition was meaningful in the spirit of the season.

I'm curious why you did that, or what started it.  Did your parents also do that to you?

Sitting in church when there was a tree and presents waiting at home ....  do you honestly think they got anything out of that service?

For children waiting to open gifts an hour in church must seem like an eternity.

I am not tired of Christmas but I wish they wouldn't mingle halloween, Thanksgving and Christmas all together in stores!  I think Christmas should be given a special place and should not be shared with other things!  Also, I try to start my shopping early but often by the time I get around to buying some things, selection is already limited because they have placed these items in the stores so early.

Also, I am one who likes to keep the tree and decorations up way after the actual day.  I know of and see so many people who can hardly wait for the day to be over so that they can rip everything done and put it away.  Not me -- I love to enjoy it for as long as possible!  There is a long, cold, boring winter to get through!

That is how I was raised.  When we got older midnight mass.  Part of my great memories.  In the morning we did gifts and then in the afternoon went to my aunts and grandpas place and did the meal and more gifts.

My husband and I did Christmas Eve and mass.   He was raised doing Christmas Eve.  So we did our thing then so the next day we could go to my moms.

Now with my daughter and family we do mass, meal and gifts my house Christmas Eve, her house Christmas Day.
