@Kachina624 , thanks for that suggestion. I've been searching for some nice morning music to play on Pandora and have added his station. I like to listen to easy music to greet my day before moving into something else to suit my mood for the day. I appreciate this suggestion and will look forward to listening.

@Desertdi   Thankfully yes.  I burn mix tape CDs for my enjoyment & for immediate family members upon request.  I only buy the 100 pk.

@sarahpanda   I've always loved the sound of the ocean lapping on the shore, a gentle rain, thunderstorms, etc. I have several CD's that I play while painting, reading and especially while falling asleep.

It's also helped my dogs become used to the sound of a thunderstorm so that when a real one comes, they just sleep through it. It's worked better than thunder shirts, etc

@Shanus My dogs ignore reecorded thunderstorms but get nervous with the real thing.  They clearly know the difference.  I think the flashing lightening makes a big difference.

@Desertdi. I have two CD players in the house and one in my old car.  It's the only way I listen to music.

@Kachina624   My dogs have never liked lightening. Thaat's when they go in their crates w/ it turned away from the window.

I just sit back in my chair and turn on youtube. I find anything with Cello and violin pretty relaxing.
