@Shanus

Do you mix a color on your hand or on the eye?

Also are Sigma brushes best?

Thanks.

@ECBG   So great! I have that one, too. My only issue is there are so many shades in a huge pallete that I forget which shade I was using when I go to my other eye. Smiley Happy

@ECBG   Powder shadows go straight on. my eye, noty the hand. I have mixed 2 cream shadows together on my hand to blend them before application.

I don't have any sigma brushes, so cannot truthfully answer. Most of my brushes are Bobbi Brown from decades ago, Trish McEvoy (also for at least a decade) and some Smashbox. I also have several IT brushes.

My brushes get washed so frequently that I depend on those I've used that I know will last.

Thanks so much for the help and guidance.

My eyes are SO deep set that the upper skin rests on the lashes just as my grandmother's did.

Any hints?

Thanks!

It comes to me then to you.  I close tomorrow, so I will miss a lot.  I go to a fav restaurant for a heavy lunch before I close.

@ECBG   Hooded lids do best with a light shade on the lid even a bit of shimmer and you know I'll suggest tightlining so that you don't have only a darker liner showing.

Crease color should be only a few shades darker than your complexion and go up almost to the brow. Darker colors recede and lighter ones bring the eye forward.

Many thanks.

I have been watching "How To Cut A Crease" on youtube.

The Sigma brushes I want are sold out.

I'll have to work in shadowing when I'm off until it becomes automatic.  I don't want to deal with anything in the morning!

@ECBG   Wish I could show you "crease" for hooded eyes. A cut crease is more a dominant darker shade placed IN the crease. With a hooded eyelid, you should use a complexion shade (a few shades darker...taupey/pink/peach shade) and place it in the crease and go above the lid looking straight in the mirror so that when your eyes are opened, you see that color above where a crease would be. You're "creating" a crease.

Watch Wayne Goss's video on placing shadow on hooded lids. If your eyes are deep set, the last thing you want is a darker crease shade. That would sink the eyes more. Good luck and practice.

Brush? Any softer fluffy brush will place that shadow and blend it in....Target, drugstore, etc. You may already have one.

BTW, how's Shadow doing in the rain and storms. Molly's fine. When she was a puppy, we played a CD of storms and rain while she was crated. Now at 10 yrs. old, when the real storms come, she just thinks I'm playing that CD and sleeps through it. I did that with all my pups.

Storms today. Be safe. Heart
