I know that most posters don't like the callers, but I found myself tearing up when that woman called in during Valerie's show just now. She was married 52 years and just lost her hubby in July. Call started out fine but she broke down partway through and it just choked me up. She sounded so sad. Oh my. Made me want to find her and just give her a big hug.

I didn't see it, but I would have teared up, too. š¢

@rms1954 She made me cry too. She said he died in July so that was very close. I feel like her conversation with Valerie and Jane made her feel good. God bless her.

I only watch a few shows on the Q and Valerie's is one. I heard the caller and felt sad for her and understood her grief. Maybe to some it didn't seem appropriate for that call to be made but I assume she is lonely and just looking to talk to someone. The fact that Valerie's show is bringing her some relief from her loss, as she stated,is a comfort.
I know watching Valerie's shows is always uplifting for me and an escape from all that is going on. Watching a good movie, listening to music also soothes and helps.as does reading a good book.
I don't know who the caller is but I do wish her peace of mind as she goes through her mourning and may the pain of her grief eventually subside and she is left with all the memories which bring a smile to her face.

I had it on and heard her callš¢. From just her description of her spouse they truly had "true love" ...
Both Valerie & Jane were so gracious on the call allowing her to "have her moments"...I applaud both of them!
This caller will be smiling when thinking about her call with themš

Jane's story about Cardinals "visiting" after a death didn't come out quite right - Caller is watching for Robins.

@fthunt The caller then said Cardinals, so I thought she had just misspoken when she said Robins, but found this, which I hadn't heard before.
"Many people believe that a visit from a Robin is a sign that a lost relative is visiting them, in the spiritual world Robins are viewed as a symbol of visits from our deceased loved ones. The Robin also symbolises new beginnings and life, and is also looked upon by many as a sign of fortune and good luck"

Darling caller, we heard you, and if we could give a collective hug we would. I can't
imagine the lonliness you must be experiencing. I had such an ache in my heart after
listening to your call on the Valerie show. As I say my prayers tonight, you will be
included. God Bless and may you know peace as you mourn your husband.

I also feel like she was able to make a connection and it made her feel comforted. That's always a good thing.
