Bringing over Freddie's September post from the other thread:
"No news at all from the MD - am getting really frustrated. I have to have, however, the whatever where they go thru the lining of the lung. They all still say it is cancer BUT they cannot write that down as EVERY check they have not been able to truly get a reading. Ahhh medicine today.
Am super tired tonight, as all week - Ricky has been in school for three days now and is doing well in school. He has had several meltdowns however tyring to get him in the car. Not sure I can do this alone any longer - trying to find help /figure it all out, etc. LONG story."

Freddie @Winifred are you telling me that for all of this time (has to be more than 6 months) the doctors suspect cancer and because they can't make up their mind about it, you are just hanging out there on a limb without any kind of treatment? Has the suspicious area gotten bigger or moved?
This is why I can't stand 'medicine'. We develop all of this technology and nobody knows anything. ![]()

Sorry screen keeps flipping around. Anyway may I suggest you sit him down and find out why his acting this way. There is a reason. It would be easier on you if you could solve this problem.

Bernie, what the MDs have been doing for a year and a half - is TRYING to take a sampling of the mass in my lungs - have had four bronchoscopys. every time they THINK they have something and so far batting average is zero. They have not obtained ONE SINGLE SAMPLE TO TEST. So the next try is piercing the lungs ----- that way they can go straight in. the mass is up in the top around the corner so to speak. Not looking forward to that but what can I say.
Great BD party for Leah - she and ALL the kids had a blast!!!
Am tired and can hardly wait to hit the sack as my Mother always said and then church tomorrow. Hope all had a great day.
Thanks for getting us started for this month Bernie

Oooh Freddie @Winifred Well I looked up needle aspiration biopsy and it looks like it's less invasive than the alternative. As long as you have a good and I mean good radiologist, you should get sedated/partially knocked out so hopefully it won't be something you remember when it's over.
Is it one or both lungs?
If I'm getting too nosey just say so, I won't get offended. I'm sincerely concerned for you.

Well, day 2 home from the hospital. Alls well, but it sure ain't easy. The older you get the slower you heal, but I'm stubborn, and sometimes that's a help.
thinking of you Winifred!
