Hey all

IT IS AN ICE RINK outside, been icing all day long suppose to last into tomorrow. Don't know if we will be able to get the car open tomorrow to get to church.

bird mama, the old man bought the house from a good friend of ours (he moved to Germany he found a job with us government over there). The old man bought the house about 3-4 yrs ago. The daughter moved in with dad, boyfriend moved about 3-=4 months after that. The dealing has been getting worse and worse as the weeks go on. There is something small in the grocery sacks size of a hand. What it is ? Can't really see that far away, to small to make out what it really is.

the old man retired from a school system in another state, the old man is not suppose to be smoking but lives in the house with the daughter/boyfriend who smoke like fiends , always have cigs hanging out of their mouths. The Audi car is over there near every day now, it is a quick stop, exchange of whatever, drives off.

IT IS AN ICE SKATING RINK OUTSIDE.been icing all day long storm to go thru tomorrow. Don't know we';ll get car open to get to church in morn.

not much else. Later guys

Re: Back Fence - Let's sit and chat for February 2021

hey all

wow did we wake up to an ice nightmare. It was solid ice on everything/ everywhere. Even our organist at church was super late, she showed up half thru service. Dh got out to the cars, chipped away at ice on the cars, got 1 car door open turned on the car to get car super warm to begin helping melt the ice on the windows. Eventually car warmed up, ice began to melt dh was able to chip away on all the windows by time we left for church most of the window ice was gone.

it was a storm, don't want to do it again.

did chores, did walks, the company taking care of the roads in our development did a wonderful job, they laid down plenty of ice melt and roads were actually dry by morn,

not much else guys,later

Good morning all, it looks like me and my shovel are gonna be best friends this week Woman Very Happy  We got a dusting of snow Saturday night that I'm sure would have turned into ice (from the sun) had I not shoveled it.

We got more snow last night and I made sure the patio was cleared so the birds and squirrels could eat comfortably.  I'm gonna give it another hour or so before I shovel the front.

Tonight we're expecting 5-8 inches of heavy snow so I could be out there shoveling between 9:30 and 10 tonight just to keep it manageable.

It's good exercise I guess Woman WinkWoman Very Happy

Re: Back Fence - Let's sit and chat for February 2021

We got the most snow we've had all winter yesterday,8 inches. The snowplow wrecked our mailbox and pole it was on. Dh is out buying a new one to put up.A few others in the neighborhood also got theirs wrecked. When the snow is really deep in our back yard, my Dh makes some paths for Sadie to use.

Sadie is still on antibiotics for her ear infection that spread to her left eye.She will go back to the vet in a week. She is so good, you wouldn't know she had an infection.

Hope all of you have a good week.

Re: Back Fence - Let's sit and chat for February 2021

Good Morning Woman Happy  I awoke to a think blanket of snow yesterday morning.  It was pretty to look at.  Good thing I woke up early because the squirrels came early and I had coffee in me and was awake enough to shovel the patio.  I took a yard stick out with me when I walked the garbage to the curb - 5 inches on the sidewalks, patio, driveway with drifts of 9 inches to a foot.  The patio is closed in on 3 sides and actually more of a pain to shovel because I have only way one to direct the snow.

Once that was done and the birds and squirrels had food and warm water, I thawed out in the house for about 90 minutes.  I then did the shoveling in the front of the house.  My lift assist on the 'better' snow joe polycarbonate shovel that I bought directly from snowjoe a few years ago snapped just as I finished the front porch stairs.

Lucky for me I kept the cheapie snowjoe that I bought from the Q years and years ago.  I was able to swap in the purple lift assist on the polycarbonate version and am good to go.

This morning I saw that the plows came through last night and that the guy kitty corner from me tried to back his van out of his driveway without shoveling.  Suffice it to say he was stuck for the longest and two guys and a girl (I think the girl is a relative) to get him unstuck.

I took my regular, what I call ditch or grave digging shovel Woman Very Happy out there and another (non snowjoe) shovel with me and loosened up all of the mess at the base of the drive with the ditch digging shovel and then scooped it up and tossed it aside with the snow shovel.

I placed an order with Pet Supplies plus for pigeon and finch food and the order is ready so I will be hitting the road shortly.  I think it's gonna feel like a really long 10 miles to get to that store with the slipper roads out there.

Chewy don't sell my pigeon food and the last time I ordered the finch food from them the bags were busted in the box.  The last time I ordered my pigeon food from Amazon same thing happened which is the only reason I buy local.
