I hope you’re okay too @FuzzyFace. I wouldn’t even call that clumsiness just a natural reaction to having a startling dream.
I’m so entirely without poise and grace that I’ll open a cabinet door and hit myself in the face.

Oh dear! I feel your pain (bolded by me). More often than I can even count I have walked up to a door inside my house, such as my bdrm door, and go to open the door and go through. Well, something goes wrong in the 'opening' part and it's a full body-slam into the door. D'oh!
Being klutzy is kind of funny - in retrospect. But I probably get hurt at least half a dozen times per day so it's not funny at the time. ![]()

Om gosh you sound like me! I often misjudge a doorway and hit the side of it going through. I have new bruises almost every day or some kind of cooking user error!

That doesn't sound like clumsiness, that sounds like you woke up from a nightmare and you were disoriented. It sounds like you have had other instances, so it's good that you are seeing a physician. No, I don't have that problem. My middle sister does, she was always tripping over this or that and bumping into things. It is due to the combined effects of 2 of the medications she takes.

@chickenbuttwrote:Oh my! I could write the book on klutz.
I've always been a klutz. I see people who are physically graceful and I'm in total awe.
Then, when I broke my left arm last fall, my clumsiness really escalated because my right hand is a total moron. Having only my right hand to use for at least a couple of months was torturous. I was fumbling beyond any imagination.
I learned a lot of things through that. I learned that, even as a klutz, you need two hands. I learned that my right hand is a complete idiot. The only thing I do right-handed is scissors. I learned that you also need thumbs, especially now that both of my thumbs are really bad with arthritis and one with the trigger thing.
Did you have a shoulder replacement, @chickenbutt?

I am recovering from my last bout of clumsiness🙁

The one thing I worry about is that someone will see all my bruises -- plus I have a skin condition that leaves big, red blood-blister looking leisons on my skin -- and think I'm being abused. Nothing could be further from the truth. In cold weather like this it's not a problem to cover up but when the weather warms up here in the NW--probably not till July and I'm NOT exaggerating--it looks a little odd to be walking around in long-sleeved shirts.

Hey Tansy. Nice seein' ya. No shoulder replacement here. I just broke the two bones in the forearm - one badly, which was broken in half and displaced, and the smaller bone just had a line all the way across it, so it wasn't broken in half.
Needed surgery for the larger bone, but they were able to kind of put it almost back in place (that's a freaky experience I hope I never experience again!), but couldn't go the surgery route, due to costs. Just with the ortho care, casts, etc, for the injury cost me over $3,500. ouch! hehe - cannot even imagine how much surgery would have been. I will have minor problems (whenever this thing finishes healing) and it doesn't look exactly right, but I can handle that stuff.

Right back at ya, chickenbutt!
I hope we all can learn to be a little more graceful.
