Betty @yock I'm so glad to read that your family members were able to talk to Merle and see him. I continue to pray fervently that Merle will have a complete recovery.

Because I had an episode, lol, the last time I went to Pet Supplies Plus for finch seed (I bought a bag of parakeet seed instead), I went online, ordered two bags of my Presto's seed then drove over and picked it up. While I was out I filled up my gas tank $1.49 per gallon. Don't know when I'll see that again and my tank was just under 1/4 tank.
That's my excitement ![]()

Good Morning, I'm leaving some bagels and cream cheese. I was wearing gloves and mask when I carried this out to the back fence ![]()

It's cold here. So much so, the water in the birds/squirrels stainless steel bowl outside had a thick layer of ice on top.
Winifred @Winifred how are you feeling today?

@Bird mama Thank you for the goodies. We are having a mini blizzard here at my part of the fence! Everything is white again. This week-end it is supposed to warm up.

@hellie jo when I left the bagels at the fence it wasn't snowing. Then it started snowing small flakes. I just looked out the window again and it's coming down enough to cling to the grass. April in Michigan

Blessings upon us.
Update: Nurse Anne is on duty this morning and helped us start our day with a Zoom meeting. I’m going to try for a Zoom tonight to get Ty included as well. This morning he is wearing the nasal cannula again and is tolerating it well. He is having a productive cough and was able, with help, to swab out his mouth. He is really wanting to talk and was trying to string some words together but they are still pretty garbled. He did lift his arm for us. Couldn’t quite get a full wave but he sure seemed like he knew what he was supposed to do. Speech will be in this morning to evaluate his swallowing. If he can swallow then he can begin to get his meds orally and progress to a different room. Some of my notes here get a little confusing because she was rushing to get back in his room for us to Zoom. If he can’t swallow then he will get a tube for feeding. She indicated today that would be a tube through his nose to his stomach.

Betty @yock It's a good sign that Merle's cough if productive. Better out than in ![]()
