Good Morning, Thanx for the start @Bird mama, gloomy & cooler here today, not much going on, want to get out to try & find a 16 bean soup "kit" for my ham bone, could not find it yesterday, but a neighbor suggested another store so will do that, I did make it years ago but can't remember where I bought it.

Hope to see all of you at the Back Fence

@Winifred

You are an early bird and I was trying to get the April threads up and running before I left for work, lol.

I'm leaving a German Chocolate Cake for dessert.

Morning, well now we have snow, only sticking to the grassy areas, don't know how much is predicted but it shouldn't last long at this time of year, right?

Did find the 15 bean soup mix so will be getting rid of the ham bone today, hope the soup is good.  Also need to do some laundry, etc

@Bird mama That cake looks delicious, haven't made one of those in years, it was DH's favorite but was a project to make, so I'll be at the back fence to grab a slice, will bring hot coffee if @Winifred hasn't done so.

Have a good one

Hello there people :-)

It was rainy, sleeting and just a little snowy today.  So far, that seems to have passed and now it's just windy.

I ran some errands this morning after watching AM style.  Picked up some bird food, hit the recycling center (I know, it's an addication) and got my hair cut.

I picked up a pizza and am enjoying my old Saturday westerns.

Hello one and all. Am already ready for bed - now that is really bad isn't it?

Nothing great going on but got a great visit a few hours ago. There use to be three little boys who lived up the street - their Mother walked out on her hubby and moved with the boys to Idaho with an "Uncle". I thought it was terrible but it seems everyone has done very well. She came with her sister who I also knew and three of the sister's children. Only one of her boys came with her - they are here but were visiting family. The boy who came here use to almost live here - his name is Patrick. He was a runt - not so any more and he does body building. I was very impressed!! Great seeing them and she said she would be back later this week with the other two boys - it will be nice to see them.

Hope all had a great day. Stay warm if you are in the cold - we are sweating here in Sou Cal today. You just never know out here.

It's a bit chilly at my part of the fence.  Today we have a real feel of 19 degrees, lol.

One of my daffodil plants in the yard bloomed.  The next day the flower was keeled over.  I don't know if the tulips will be up.  I haven't done anything with those plants since I bought the house nearly 15 years ago.  I probably should dig up the bulbs in the fall and separate them.  Is that what you call it?  Do bulb plants like tulips and daffodils need to be split up and replanted?

This is why most of my property is green and flowerless, lol.

@Bird mama, I don't dig up my bulbs, most keep multipling like my dafffodils, which now are gorgeous, tulips I usually only get 1 year but I think the rabbits & squirrels eat them, but they're so pretty in the Spring might try again this fall to plant the bulbs, they say to put chicken wire around them but I'm not that ambitious.

I'm doing more flowering shrubs like hydrangeas & weiglas, & perinneals (sp) the $$ each year for flowers is getting to be too much,  but good deals at Aldi's so I do get some there.
