Anyone else looking forward to the weekend

I can’t wait. As most of you know I am a disabled adult living with my parents. Tomorrow they are leaving to visit my sister in Chicago and won’t be back until Sunday night. I am so looking forward to being by myself this weekend. It’s going to be so quiet. I am just going to veg out and get caught up on my soap opera and watch movies. Then watch the colts game n Sunday. My dog will be here with me until my uncle picks her up tomorrow early evening. Sometimes it’s just so nice to just be by yourself and the quiet.

I also enjoy it when the house is quiet and I'm the only one home.  I can light candles (flameless, usually), putter, work on decorating projects, read, catch up on movies I've DVR'd.  Important to have that time to regroup.  Bliss.

Have a wonderful weekend, @ccassaday!

@ccassaday

I too enjoy some quiet, me time, I need a good bit of quiet.  However, I am SO very grateful for being blessed by those with whom I have the fortune to share a home and life.Heart

I hear ya @ccassaday....I am married and early on in the marriage when DH was more active in activities he would be gone occasionally for a weekend or most of an evening.  I really enjoyed my alone time and miss it....now as he is older, friends have passed away, and the things enjoyed when younger no longer interest him........enjoy your weekend, it will fly by.

Being a adult and relying so much on someone else is no fun. Grateful that I have people around everyday.But I do miss not having any alone time. This is about the fourth time they have left since we moved into the new house. Every time it’s just been so peaceful. But I am grateful to have them around everyday. Sometimes I just need me time and the quiet.

Re: Anyone else looking forward to the weekend

I didn't live alone until I was in my early 50s.

Took no time at all to get use to the peace and quiet and freedom to do whatever I wanted to do, whenever I wanted to do it!
