I guess I dislike summer for a different reason, allergies. Somehow I have never thought of grass as a blooming thing, but it has to have a bloom for pollen to appear. I stay indoors and keep my AC unit company. Mr. Carrier is my idol. I'm not fond of spring/summer/fall because of the allergies and the bugs. Retired now so I don't have to be out and about so I no longer pay an allergy doctor to give me shots 2 or 3 times a week. Between the testing and then the shots, I invested in his BMW. I have learned to love winter.

I would hate summer if I lived in Fl full time too. I love to go to Fl however in the winter since winter here in the northeast is so long, cold, dreary, brown & gray...hate it!
Summer here has been humid and rainy (more so that usual). However we still get some lovely low humidity days with temps in the low 80s and 70s.

I loved the summers growing up in San Diego. Not so much in the south, yuk.

I'd like it better if there was no lawn care. I am counting the weeks until my lawnmower and pruning shears can go back into hibernation. I'm over it. Big time.

@chiclet I grew up in Florida also and you are so right! It seems that every year we are having a new "record
heat this summer!" Don't know when it will stop.
Thank God for our breeze that helps make it tolerable.

It's why I moved from the midwest and east coast to Colorado. Low humidity, sunshine. Sometimes I miss the lakes/oceans but we have mountain lakes too. I have friends that live in Florida in the winter to avoid snow, but come home to Colorado in the summer.

I like summer for the fresh, local fruit & veggies.
We've had a rather tolerable summer this year.
Not a ton of humidity.
I like some humidity, but anything north of 60% and it gets uncomfortable.
I like fall - football, holidays.
I do not like winter at all! We have rainy winters here and if the temps drop, it will be snow or ice.
Spring is my favorite.
