Anyone else hate Summer? - Page 3

Hate the entire time of summer and for us in Texas it lasts a long time. This Friday the high is 102 then factor heat index and that is our summer. Around Halloween we may have on long sleeves and a jacket in the morning hours.

My DH says the thing he dislikes about summer in Fl is that it stays warm 24 hr a day. Up north it usually cools at night and you can get a lot done outside in the mornings. Here it is hot out as soon as you wake up.

Growing up in MI, summer was not a big deal.

Once I moved to OK, OMG, they are brutal!! Humidity and high temps, HEAT WARNINGS!!

I cannot wait until Autumn, football, leaves changing, cool temps!!

And I also hate daylight until 9:30pm!! Most weeknights in June and July I am in bed before dark!!!

I love most of summer, here in Ohio. Some periods and some years have more heat and humidity than others, and that I'm definitely no fan of, as we don't have central air.

But I'm dreading winter more every year I live, so if the choice is heat (it's really more the humidity than the heat) or short days and long dark nights with ice and snow, I'll take the heat.

Living here in NE Ohio near Lake Erie is about as good as it gets for most of the summer. It's been pretty hot much of the summer, with many humid days, but here near the lake, we haven't seen all the rain that the rest of the state has had. I'm a big time freeze baby.......I spend the entire winter with non-stop goosebumps. I keep the heat at 73 and still am wearing North Face jackets in the house. I only use the A/C when it's gets really humid and the temp is near or over 90. I dread the end of summer!

This year, I DO hate summer. Smoke from all the wildfires has settled down over Seattle and the air quality is atrocious. My DH is an archery instructor and part of a walking club. All those activities have been cancelled till the air quality improves.

Even my poor little cat has to be kept indoors, when he'd rather be out on the deck, roasting his belly. Between that and a vet visit a few days ago, he's not very happy right now. I don't blame him; I feel the same.

Yes.....now, but not when I was younger.

The humidity has been awful this year....I am in the midwest.

We do not have central air in our house, so when it's really hot and the room air conditioner is on.....that's where we are....stuck in those four walls until it cools off.....today is a beautiful, breezy 65 degrees.
