Well Q buds,my work week went fast.Actually,it was a pretty great one at that.I took parents out for dinner tonight. It was very nice. My sister and hubbs joined us as well.Im thinking I'm looking and acting more and more li,like, my dear mom.Dad and her are very hard of hearing,so all of us have to repeat what we say, very frustrating for all.Non to say, because they don't drive after dark we had dinner at 4pm.We all had 1 cocktail and ordered off the early bird special.Boring I'm aware.

Everyone pleeeze have a great weekend

Its not boring when you make memories with your parents. Its wonderful! Even if you have to talk loud. Glad you had a great week and ended it with a family dinner. Sounds pretty terrific to me. Enjoy the weekend!

Sounds like a nice evening.

Perhaps next time you all get together you can broach the subject of hearing aids. Explain they really have come down in price, and how they can enrich quality of life. If they're not interested I would drop the conversation, but it may give them something to think about.

And unrelated, has your grandson returned to school yet? Any plans to stay with you part time again?

Boring?!  You're lucky to still have both your parents around to enjoy a night out for dinner even though you have to repeat and talk loud, it comes with age.  I would give anything to have my mom and dad still on this earth and to enjoy their company.

I would give anything to be able to get together with my parents!  I would never have considered it to be boring.

@Etoile308   @Luvsmyfam    I've worn hearing aids forever. When I got new ones (technology marches on), Medicare pitches in on many brands. It can become a real issue if they wait too long w/o hearing well.

@AngelPuppy1 @SoCal Bred  I feel the same way you both do. I'm  75 years old and miss my parents more with every passing year. Of course I realize all families are different and not everyone has sweet memories. Those of us who do are very blessed.
