Sounds to me Amazon Haul or some third party seller.

Wow that's terrible. I am a Prime member and usually receive items in one or two days - sometimes a few days longer. They even offer same day delivery now. And one recent order was shipped overnight - was at my door early rhe next morning.
And sometimes I'll choose a longer delivery - no more than a week - and receive 6% back on my order.

I'm a Prime member and have never had a problem like the OP's problem.
Before I put anything in my cart on Amazon, I always look at the delivery date and at who's doing the shipping. The delivery info is on each item's web page, & I always read it.
If an item is Prime but out of stock, I order from someplace else if needed.
When an item is Prime & Amazon is doing the shipping, I always get my packages in 1-2 days. I choose Prime items about 98% of the time.
If an item is not Prime & not shipped by Amazon but does have a delivery date within a week, I occasionally order.
If an item has a delivery date longer than a week (like a month or longer), I have not and would not order it. I'd know it would be coming from overseas.
When checking out multiple items at Amazon, there are delivery date options. The items can ship on their individual delivery availability dates or all ship on the latest same date. There's also a $2.99 option for some items to ship a little sooner than their normal date.

Every item sold on Amazon has the expected delivery date on the upper right hand corner. Third party vendors frequently ship from overseas and take that long. Prime member or not, one should keep scrolling.

We too are Prime members and even though we live in a small town I usually get our orders within 2-3 days. I usually look at the delivery dates when checking out and often combine orders into the same delivery dates. I am not usually in a huge hurry for things, so I can wait.

It happens to me and I’m a member. I had to join. I couldn’t afford 35 every time I needed something and 5.99 shipping is out of the question. The 2 day prime shipping is a lie. The best you’ll get is a week.
@DeerGirl , absolutely not true! No, not everything is 2 days like it was back in the early days. But some things come literally within hours. Some overnight, some the next day, etc. I ordered two items today and they are due to arrive overnight. The last purchase I made was the exact same way. It all depends on what you are getting and where the warehouses that store those things are in proximity to you. I rarely have to wait 3 days or more for something. Occasionally but not often.
