Nose rings are for farm animals to control the animal.

It is my opinion that nose rings on people look like a booger hanging out of their nose.

I do not understand the facial hardware or the tongue rings either.  Those that have several plus the huge earlobe hole spreader things look like a fishing tackle box.

Unless you are serious about the "bar fights," it is not funny. I have taken care of patients w/injuries from nose piercings and it is not a pretty sight.

Young people in my family have nose pierceings.  Some have studs, some have rings.  I don't care for them, but they seem to be the norm these days.  And not just for young people either.  I would think if you get colds or what not and have to blow your nose a lot that this would be sore and messy, but???  I don't know.  Just like tattoos used to not be a regular thing -- now they are pretty much standard.  However, I think some get carried away and are just covered with them and I don't like this look.  It's not my body, so - I say - if these things make you happy, go for it it!!!

I would never have a  nose ring but I don't judge those who do.

A nose ring is better than a tongue stud. My nephew had a tongue stud when he was younger and I hated that thing. It was hard to look at but I never said anything. It wasn't my tongue. He's 40ish now and doesn't have it. I had two nieces who had nose piercings in their college years, into their twenties. They don't have them now. One had to have a plastic surgeon close the hole because even after two years, the little hole didn't close on its own. Maybe some people have reasons for piercings but I think the majority of the time it's just fashion. Like the people who have ear piercings all the way up the cartilage. None of that stuff means anything to me and I never comment on what other people do with their own bodies.

I was a heck of a lot older than my 30's when I got my nose pierced.  I loved the tiny diamond stud.  I also have multiple ear piercings (3 from my lobe upward) and had several in my helix (upper ear cartilage).  The helix  piercings were sore when laying on my side.  I tried a tragus piercing but it was short lived.  Not one of them had even a smidge to do with Satan. 🙄  Anyway, all the piercings had to come out when I had an MRI.  The only ones that made it back in were the three at the bottom of each ear.

Holy moly!  I don't know anyone who associated a nose ring with evil or Satin.

I find it nutty to think such a thing and it's comical.

I am not a fan of nose piercings, but I never heard anyone say ...

I'm not a fan of tongue piercings.  I think they can change speech and the way the mouth and tongue form to make sounds.  I'm not fond of the huge earlobe gauges either.  My DD and DSIL have them, smaller, but I just have to ignore them.

A singer we know was talking with me one day when I still had my nose stud.  He said his sister had one and he told her it was booger bling. 😆

I find them unsightly. Every time I see someone with one I automatically envision a pig with a ring in its nose. But it's not hurting anyone, I hope, and it's not my business and I don't think it's a sin so I just chalk it up to a Live and Let Live thing.
