You have done a great job preparing for the days of mourning. I did not know about the customs you have outlined. Peace to your family.

(((Shanus))).. I'm sure your dear mother knows how blessed she is to have you as her loving and devoted daughter. It may not feel like it, but you are coping very well.

No, we are never truly prepared to let go, but you have done all that you can to make her passing one of gentle peace for her and your family. What more could be expected of anyone?

Next to losing my beloved, adult daughter (only child).. my dear mother was the hardest loss of my life. I wasn’t ready in any way, other than to see her suffering come to an end at last. May the thought of that for your own mother console you somewhat, as you try to begin to let go. That's a long, painful process- don’t try to rush yourself. Let the tears fall when they come. Eventually your blessed memories of her will become a special comfort, though at first they can feel like torture. Time will help and draw strength from your faith.

I am praying for you both.

It is times like this when the QVC Posters come together and act as one.  Every message here is filled with love, caring and kindness.  Shanus, I can't say anything that hasn't already been said, my heart hurts for you and yours, may the good Lord look down on you and give you comfort during this sad time.  Your dear mother is tired and she wants to sleep.  My mother passed in the same manner as yours, she slept most of the time until the end came.  You have my deepest sympathy and may your mother rest in peace.

I'm so sorry about your mother, Shanus.  Having experienced losing my mother almost 9 years ago, my heart breaks for you.   Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.  No, we can't ever be prepared to lose someone we love.  May God comfort and give you peace during this difficult time.   I send my love to you.
