@Shanus , so happy most of the stuff is behind you.

Not only is getting older tough, but somehow the things we dealt with easily a few years ago seem overwhelming now.

Take care, order in treat yourself!

@ECBG   and others sending good wishes:

DH finally showered yesterday (been since Monday night....yuck). We unwrapped the bandage on the leg from ankle to upper thigh.  BRUISING! Wow...

We got the black tight "stocking" on which took forever. He's being a good sport, but getting antsy staying home and alternating resting with leg up and walking around the house as directed.

I'm doing OK. I'm dreading next two dental appts., but it has to happen. Staying home and being a nurse is new to me. Thank God, this is our first (I think) dual catasrophe. If only one of us, think it'd be easier to handle.

I'm really tired since wake DH up every few hours to move or roll over since a clot in the leg is an issue. The "chicken" should have had this done 20 yrs. ago when it started getting uncomfortable. He was a runner, a marathon runner. He now also sits a lot now most of the day seeing clients and working. Going through this at a younger age would have been much easier. I feel for him.

I'm "tiny but mighty". I can almost lift him into bed, but he's fairly mobile.

Holiday weekend. I'm dropping DH at office this morning for 3 hrs. to see a client with an "emergency" and will pick him around noon so he doesn't do too much. He cannot drive yet.

I've lost 6 lbs. with the temporary tooth on a peg that has to heal. I'm eating minimally and cutting all foods into tiny pieces and eating slowly with a spoon...softer foods and I get disgusted eating so just put the spoon down. I'm sure worrying about DH isn't helping my lack of appetite.

All in all, I do think about those with cancers, heart issues, in wheel chairs with knee replac ements and hips failing and have prayed how lucky we are that this is really not life threatening.

Thanks again for your concern. I love you all. Heart

Thinking of you today my friend.  I'm home making a huge pot of spaghetti sauce for DS's birthday dinner tonight.  There really isn't a big task difference for me between a Dutch oven and a big pot.  I freeze a lot and we take it to the beach.

I hope you aren't under this rain system but it appears you are.

Please both of you rest up and lay back with Molly pup.  I'm sure she'll love that!

@Shanus  So sorry you have had troubles. Although it has been several years ago, I uses to have to take my mother to appointments at UNC, and their was a valet service. Do not know if this is still the case or not. Something you may want to check into for the future. I know it cost a little bit but sdo worth it for people with mobility issues as was my mother then and i am now. Best of luck to you.

Re: A ROUGH FEW WEEKS!!!

@ECBG   As soon as DH was home from the hospital, Molly's beagle nose sniffed his bandage and been by his side ever since. She's MY pup at night in bed for cuddling.

Enjoy the birthday dinner.
