i go for a high thread count.  they end up being heavy when wret, buy they stay where you put them and they are made like iron.  they wear very well.  i can't remember where i bought them but the higher the count, the better the sheet.

I have bought many sheets from QVC and my favorite is anything 700 thread count and over!! I really prefer the 1000 thread count, for its weightier and more luxurious, and does not slip off!! The wrinkle defense over 600 is nice and not slippery, and I also like the Egyption cotton ones. The problem NOW with this is- QVC is not carrying any "high count" bed sheets any longer, I guess I have to look elsewhere!!!??!!   Smiley Sad

I have so many sets of sheets, but only use a few.  Do not be fooled into buying microfiber or any blend of cotton that says "wrinkle free".  My favorite sheets are Tommy Bahama.  I just bought 2 sets in Macys last weekend.  Yes, pricey, but I love them and so does my furbaby.  Neither one of us will sleep on anything that is not 100% cotton.  I also don't like really heavy thread counts - I prefer somewhere in the middle - 300 to 500 is perfect for me especially in warm weather.

I love my micro fiber sheets. They wash well, are light, cool and soft.

We use flannel all year round. The best sheets  I have ever bought were from Good Will.

New still in the package and 30% off so we paid very little for the king size. I keep going back but have not seen anymore. The quality is fab and the flannel is so soft.

I did buy cotten percale sheets from LLBeen and love them.  They were costly though.

I bought a set of sheets at Targey, the Threshold Brand.  Will let you know what I think after I wash and use!  LM

Re: A Question re Sheets

It sounds as though you're looking for percale sheets. I buy mine from the Vermont Country Store.  They're 200 thread count cotton and are called " Clothesline Crisp". If I take them right out of the dryer they're not wrinkled and they're made for both the newer 20+" or the original older sized mattress height. I have a Temperpedic mattress and I use the newer ones. Ralph Lauren makes wonderful percale sheets that I've bought at TJ Maxx. Good luck!  I should add that I always use Malden Mills polar fleece sheets for all the beds in the Winter months. They are the best!
