The Rockefeller Center 2025 Christmas Tree, selected from East Greenbush NY,  just outside of Albany.

Perfect and Gorgeous Norwegian Spruce!

It will arrive at its resting spot on November 8th.

What a gorgeous tree....I hate to see it cut down and removed from its spot next to that house.

Maybe the size and location is why they are cutting it down..thinking it could fall on the house in a storm.

Most homeowners are thrilled to be asked for the donation. 

Most trees selected are dangerously old, already very decrepit and weakened and pose an increased danger to the house.

Why not donate it to a wonderful cause bringing joy and happiness to millions!

for sure costs a few thousand to take down a tree that big and they shouldn't be close to a house

Rockefeller Center also pays for all stump removal and landscaping.   It's probably an extra unexpected blessing to the homeowners!

Wish they would take my big maple tree instead. Leaves are getting ready to drop and make a big mess. But that's a beauty. I can't remember what they do with it after the holidays. Cut for lumber and donate to Habitat or something?

The most beautiful trees are always selected for Rockefeller Center every year. Look forward to the lighting ceremony.

The lumber after the tree is milled is donated to Habitat for Humanity.

I believe this has been happening for about twenty years.
