I do so love my Wen products, but the ones with pumps, seem to all to be too short and don't get down to the bottom of the bottles. So I find myself taking off the pump and banging them on my palm even adding water to the mix, to get to the product. Why can't Chaz fix this problem? Hubby loves Wen as well, but always complains when he has to do the same to get his hair done. We pay a lot for this Wen and a couple inches more of tubing to reach the bottom isn't asking too much, and even curbing it would be good along with more length. Even the mousse bottle does this. It's quite frustrating indeed. Does this bother anyone else?

Agreed, the pumps stink. It always happens at about 1/4 left of every bottle of every one of the products and I don't get why Smiley Sad Is the product to thick for the pump?

I almost quit WEN because of the lousy pumps! It is a disgrace, and it annoys me that I have to use a bottle coupler to get the last 20% of the product. Chaz Dean, not the end user, should figure out an effective way to dispense his very expensive product. My hair looks gorgeous though.

I agree it's annoying, but it's not just Wen bottles--all pumps stink. No matter what the product, lotion, liquid soaps & body washes--anything with a pump always stops working before all the product is out of the bottle.

I think it's because the product is so thick that a "hole" forms in the product around the bottom of the pump once it's 1/4-1/3 full. I add a little water at at time until it pumps again, shaking well after each addition. I add an extra pump when I cleanse to compensate for the water.

There still comes a point when that won't pump either---that's when I give up, put on a flip-top, and turn the bottle upside down.

Most of it gets used that way, and what little is left, I add a little more water, shake it well and add it to the hand soap on my bathroom counter.

This. Even if the pump were longer, you'd still have the problem because science.

Vermint has some excellent suggestions. The booklet that comes with every WEN product (way too many booklets!) says to add some bottled water to dilute and shake, I use warm filtered water, but eventually the same thing happens. Since I mostly order the same formulas, when mine stops pumping, I set it aside and open the next bottle. Once that one has room, I get the old bottle and a funnel. I set the funnel in the new bottle and the old bottle upside down on the funnel and walk away to do whatever. When I come back, I pick up the empty old bottle to rinse and recycle.

And that's not just a WEN thing. I've done that most of my life, with ketchup bottles, hair conditioner, and many other things.

I wish he would indicate measurements like one half cup or one fourth cup. 13 pumps - how much is that?

I have been using WEN products for 7 years, with mixed results, but on the whole, have enjoyed them. I never thought this was the holy grail that some people do, but certainly a pretty good product, although a little pricey.

However, the one thing that has so irritated me for all this time is the pump.  The technology exists for a pump that reaches the bottom of a container, as I use several other products that have such a pump.  With that said, obviously WEN has made a conscious decision not to use such a pump probably with the hope that people will order more often, as the product is too difficult to use when there is about 1/3 left.  I have also used a funnel to emply into another container, added water, and all the other suggestions, but today was the last straw.

I couldn't get any out in the shower, and fortunately had some Paul Mitchell color safe shampoo and conditioner in there and used that instead.  Wow - what a difference - my hair is shiny, bouncy, and I didn't lose any (usually lose about a quarter sized plug ).  Have been scared off using shampoo from watching him, but you know what - your hair may just look better!  My hairdresser uses shampoo and my hair always looks good when I leave there.

Sorry Chaz - will use up what's left as shaving cream - but won't be ordering again.

When my bottles get too low for the pump I just turn them upside down. Since I'm a stickler for using the right amount of pumps for my hair and can't do that when the bottle gets low, I use the remainder as my facial and body cleanser, and hand cleanser since that doesn't need to be as precise.

The CC's are SUPERIOR facial cleansers and remove make-up better than any cleanser I've tried! That's a little off the subject at hand, but I just wanted to share! 😍
