I would feel very anxious before I had a hot flash. The symptoms you are describing chest pressure and slight back pain. Sounds like what happens to me when my Acid reflux is acting up.

Speaking from experience I had pressure in my chest that would not go away. My PCP sent me to a Cardiologist who found I had an artery that was blocked 80%. I also was having pain between the shoulder blades.

@dennylilly I mean no disrespect and hope you get to feeling better but please contact your Doctor about any chest pressure/back pain.. I know we have plenty of very knowledgeable posters that have great information or advice but please contact your PCP.. and yes I was in the medical profession for many years..
Good Luck..

I will have similar symptoms like you mentioned when I'm stressed, worried or my anxiety kicks into high gear.

@dennylilly I assume you have been checked out head to foot by a cardiologist?

For about a year before my first heart attack, I had chest pressure and back pain. I figured it was stress and ignored the signs.
If you are diabetic, you may be experiencing neuropathy but only your endocrinologist can confirm that.
No advice given on the internet can take the place of a board certified physician. Just anecdotal information but it is nice to be able to share our experiences with similar issues.
In your place, knowing what I know now, I would see a cardiologist ASAP. Good luck.

It’s me again. Pretty much over my headaches since there is nothing wrong according to all my tests. Still feeling the chest pressure and I am assuming it’s not heart related because I’m sure I would have died by now if all this time it’s a heart attack or near one.
Now I’m thinking it’s some strange new variation of a hot flash which I have had for 12 years. Have any of you had hot flashes that feel like chest pressure and slight back pain?
I will be seeing my gynecologist soon and will ask her all these questions also. I may even see a specialist in menopause since I just found out there is such a thing.
Thanks again for all your support, suggestions and prayers.
I have no history of heart problems so I can't speak from experience - but this scares me. I am not for just running to the doctor for every new ache and pain we have, but for what you describe - I would.
