All Things DAYS--JULY 2021 (possible spoilers)

I can't believe we are halfway through 2021!! And our show has been renewed for 2 years! I hope they bring back some of the actors that we have all loved over the past 50 plus years. I wish that old episodes were available because I'm sure I would like them more than the current story lines.

Back in the old DAYS, I used to love the 'holiday' celebrations. I believe Salem used to have a 4th of July parade and other activities. I distinctly remember the Mike Horton Jr story line when I was in the 8th grade and they were always going on 'picnics'. LOL!!

What do you remember from the old summer story lines? Before the ridiculous tweenager drama?

My memory isn't the best anymore but I do remember 4th of July picnics and fireworks. I like when they celebrate holidays on the show.

I am wondering what Aunt Paulina is up to and what the fallout will be with the other characters on the show when it is revealed.

I didn't realize there would be a new Chanel. I wonder how she will play the part.

I must admit I much prefer the newer Claire to the old one. We haven't seen her in a while. Is she still on the program? It is hard to keep up with the comings and goings of the characters/actors.

@DrKelli I remember the holiday celebrations in Salem, especially the Fourth of July. Wish they would bring it back.

@abbalulu - the original Claire left to do other things. I like the new Claire also.

Yes, usually a big 4th of July town picnic with Tom and Alice at the helm, last one was about 14 years ago with Bo there and Alice.

Today on the show Paulina was in the square with a couple different people and they were panning across the set. I noticed a playing card I think it was a Jack hanging behind them on a building. I wonder if she is going to open a casino.

@Shelbelle Wow, I didn't realize that it was that long ago since they had a picnic. Of course I have not watched straight through over the years. I have watched for many years but sometimes I have stopped for a few years and then gone back to it so there are gaps in my knowledge of some of the stories. My Mom was a fan many years ago and she got me started watching.

Here's hoping they will reinstitute the picnic this year. I did hear Marlena say Brady was taking his daughter to see the fireworks. At least that's what I thought she said.

I loved the old Christmas shows with Tom&Alice and the family gathering around to put Christmas ornaments with each family members name to be placed on a tree branch.If the family member had died they honored them.

Oh those were some of the good memories.
