Just a thought but if, for whatever reason, QVC is unable to ship orders for a specific item, put said item on-screen/on-line for sale under "Advanced Order" status so that shoppers would know that the item wasn't available right away at the time they place their order. It would save a lot of frustration for folks who rightly expect to receive their orders in a timely manner! Surely QVC knows stock availability status before the item is shown on-screen/on-line for sale. JMO.

They often do just that.  When they know that they can get more product at a certain time.  Or, when the entire order won't be available until a later date.
