We are snowed in with a blizzard and a state of emergency so the only thing to do is make comfort food, lol!
I made this cake first thing and it turned out really well. It is delicious, very moist and flavorful.
1 yellow cake mix
1 3oz package of dry butterscotch pudding mix
3 eggs
1/3 cup canola oil
1 cup water
3 bananas mashed well
Heat oven to 350.Butter and flour a bundt pan very well.
Mix everything very well. Pour into bundt pan and bake 50 minutes or til tests done. Mine took about 55 minutes.
Cool in pan for 30 minutes then turn out.
Make a glaze of powdered sugar and maple syrup and pour over cold cake.

I hit print as soon as I saw "butterscotch"!!
I am never without my b.s. chips at home, love to even throw a few on a bowl of ice cream just because I love the taste. This sounds great, Thanks.

Looks yummy! Two questions - is this instant or cook pudding? And does the newer downsized cake mix size work with the amount of ingredients?

Becky, a few butterscotch chips thrown into the batter would be delicious. I thought of that too but I didn't have any, lol.
Ceekay, I used an Aldi's yellow cake mix and I'm not sure what size it was, I don't have one on hand to check either. I think the butterscotch pudding was the instant kind. You just mix the dry powder and the dry cake mix together then add them to the wet ingredients.

Thanks Lynne. I will check Aldi and use what you used. This sounds sooooo good.

Ceekay, I just got another cake mix from Aldi's and it is 16.5oz.
Hope you get a chance to try this recipe, it is yummy

I just saw this recipe post and wanted to thank you. Might be having company and was trying to think of what to make for dessert and I think this might be exactly what I was looking for. It sounds wonderful and I bet it would be good with other cake mix and pudding combinations and maybe some streusel. I always like to make new recipes as they are the first time and then experiment. Anyway, thank you again for sharing.

Thank you for this recipe. I had ripe bananas and tried this cake last night. It turned out well and I will make it again.
