I found a really effective ground coffee storage container made by Oxo in its Pet Pop line.  It's got an airtight lid that just pops off after you press the big button in the center of the lid.  There is also one with dark sides made especially for coffee, but since I keep mine in a cupboard, I don't need that version.

(I suppose this line was meant for pet food, but it's an empty container so the name really is irrelevant.)

I have several of these containers in which I keep different types of flour and other stuff, but I find that this container does a pretty good job of keeping the ground coffee decently fresh. 

What are some of the ways you've found that keep ground coffee fresh?

Lol! I keep my cats dry food in this exact same container. All I have to do is pop the button on the top and you'll never see two cats stop what they're doing and run to me as fast as they can! If ever I can't find them I just pop the top and they are at my side instantly!

I always freeze my coffee. I use a tall rectangular L&L container in which my bag of ground coffee fits perfectly. It's thin so can go on the side shelves of my freezer.

@sunshine45, count me in! I too have a Gevalia container. My sis got one for me, and for our parents almost 40 years ago, & we're still using them! I have white, and our dad's is dark green.

My favorite storage for coffe comes in the form of a K-cup.  I have been a fan for years.  I love the convenience, the freshness & taste for my demanding pallet!

Me too for Lock & Lock, in the refrigerator......
