I thought about this but decided no for three reasons:

 

1)  The crisper basket only allows up to a 5 lb chicken.  My current air fryer is much bigger.. I know the newer 8 qt Ninja foodi allows a 7 lb chicken.  If I bought a Foodi, I would buy the 8 qt (I think its only available on the Ninja website right now.

 

2)  Their crisper basket has holes in it - and cleaning it means having to clean the basket and the pot under it.   I love my paula deen air fryer - no holes in the basket and only need to clean the basket.   

 

3) I read that you cannot remove the crisper cover.   You just lift it up.  So you need enough space above the foodi - when you are pressure cooker to allow for the crisper cover.

 

Bottom line - I think I will wait.
