Designers ran out of new ideas a LONG time ago.  That's why trends go 'round. 

There's almost nothing "new" that people would actually buy in large quantities.  

We've seen it all.

I think one of the worst jobs would be having to repeatedly "come up with something NEW".  What a nightmare that would be!

This wouldn't look good on my short arms.  I love eating croissants, but I don't think I will wear them as sleeves /
