D&C capris too long

I know they keep saying that 19" is the capri length, but even at 5'6" I find that to be too long, going 1/2 way down my calf. They used to make them shorter than that it seems. I have turned more towards the pedal pushers at 17" but so far they are all too wide at the hem. I am looking for a pair that is not leggings but fits closer at the hem, they all seem so frumpy when belled out. Maybe I just have thin calves ..... (the only thin thing on me, lol). If anyone finds a more fitted pair please let me know, I'm tired of returning things !

If you really like the D&Co. fit, maybe find a local dry cleaners who specializes in alterations. For a small fee, they can hem them for you. Or try searching for local alterations services, ask them by phone the prices they charge to hem pants. Sometimes the fee is nominal, especially since you might be a 'new' customer for them.
