I'm so excited to get 2 Echo Show's for $100 off.  Just search for the coupon code.

I have 2 regular Echos now.  I have one at work and one at home.  I sold them both along with the remotes for $150 each.  The remotes sell for around $30.  I had $40 Amazon credits for using their credit card, so I got both Shows for $351.

Woohoo!  I can't wait for them to be delivered now.

I was lucky to sell mine for $150 each, but it was still a deal for them since they get the remotes.

I saw on the website it's $229. Is that what you paid, I don't see a code.

The coupon code is right on the Amazon Echo Show page, just under the intial description. It's "SHOW2PACK" and you save $100 if you buy two or more shows. That brings the cost of each show down to $179 (o so) which is the same cost as the "normal" Echo without the video screen.

Edited to change the amount, I'd initially posted $200 and it saves $100.

@gardenman, I only would buy one so no coupon for me. I'm going to wait to see if maybe they lower the price. Enjoy your Echo Show!

Sadly, I didn't buy one either. I've got my original Echo and I'll likely add a Dot at some time to connect to my stereo system, but that will just about take care of everything for me. I suspect Amazon will come up with an Alexa App that you can install on a Windows 10 computer to use that as a bigger version of an Echo Show.

These things are speakers .... correct?

The Echo Show is the newest, latest and greatest version of the Echo that incorporates a video screen now. It does everything the old Echo does, but also lets you watch videos, make video calls with other Echo Show users. You can watch Amazon videos, YouTube videos, you can even use it to monitor things like baby monitors in your house. It can even show you the lyrics to songs as they play. It's a pretty neat little device.

Why would you need that when you have a pc?

@kcladyz. On top of all the video screen functions that @gardenman mentioned, it also has lots of productive and fun things that work by voice commands only.  It is a lot handier to add things to your shopping list, check the weather or set an alarm or timer just by saying it rather than getting on your phone or computer.  It also has has awesome speakers for music.  The new ones just does lots of things.

Like gardenman said, with the coupon when buying two these are the same price as the original echo which is a good deal.  The video stuff is just icing on the cake.

I just bought a Dot when I saw Amazon now had them with a $10 off code. Neat! I'll be connecting that to my home theater system to give me more music options on my better speakers. It'll be here Tuesday.

I may add a Fire TV Box to my living room TV if Amazon marks them down come July for Prime Day. I like my Fire TV Stick, so adding the Fire TV Box if I can get one for a good price makes sense.

@gardenman I know what the Firestick is.  What is a Fire TV Box?  I searched on Amazon and didn't see it.  Thanks!

Can you totally run you Firestick by speaking to Alexa?  Thanks!

The Fire TV Stick is a little media streamer that has Alexa built in. Now you typically have to push a button on the remote to access it, but I think my Dot will connect with the Fire TV Stick and let me tell the Fire TV Stick what I want to watch.

Amazon is also now selling new TV's with the Fire TV  built in which is kind of intriguing. I want to upgrade my living room TV later in the summer and I may buy one of those.

@gardenman  Thanks Gardenman.  I will go check those out.  I have a Roku now, but this sounds pretty cool.

I'm loving my new little Echo dot. I've got it plugged into my surround sound system and the improvement in the sound quality is pretty dramatic. My Echo sounds good, but this brings a whole new quality to the sound. I've got my NHT Super Zero speakers which have a great sound to them and the little Echo Dot is now plugged into the front input on my home theater receiver and I'm just sitting here with a big smile on my face as I listen to song after song from my collection playing on demand. I'm not sure the sound is quite as good as from a good CD, but it's pretty darn close.

They have some nifty looking Dot and Echo rechargeable batteries on Amazon now.  I didn't know they existed.  That way you can take it outside.

You apparently plug in only the charger.  When you want to move it, you just unplug it and move it wherever.  No cord attached!  Nice.  The battery life depends on which one you buy.

It just looks like part of your echo or dot and it is very nice looking!  I don't think I have a need for that though.

@mima@gardenman, thanks for posting.  I am going to check this out later today.  Will these coordinate with an android streaming box?  I have MYGICA 495 Pro? LM
