Do tracphones still need to be fired up within

the first 30 days of purchase. I have not heard them say this for sometime. In which case it might not be a bad idea to stock up. Anybody know?

Some do and some have no time limit at all. I think the time limit is longer than 30 days but it has varied.

That would be great, I would order maybe two if QVC could confirm the amount of time it can sit unactivated without causing an issue.

Some might still have the 30 day requirement.

I wouldn't expect the terms offered on one phone to necessarily apply to any other phone offer @blankette.

I noticed that some Tracfones have "no deadline to activate."

Over the last 3 years I have purchased 4 new Tracfones. Of these, 3 were for myself, and 1 for my late mother-in-law. None of the 4 had any activation deadline. None of them were purchased from QVC.

I do not know if Tracfone has differing types of contracts with their many retail vendors. If in doubt, call and ask, Customer Service, probably can give you the correct answer.
