BTW, for a couple of years I made Derby Pie for the Kentucky Derby.  Delicious, but I gave it up because it has to be packed with calories.

It's Southern, basically a pecan pie with a lot of chocolate chips and bourbon.  Wow!

I love pie too.  Fruit pies are my favorites with vanila icecream on top.

I knew we had lots in common, but now I have to add this too! LOVE Derby pie!

Of course, I'm about as Southern as they come, LOL!

I love the South!  Woman Very Happy

I've been in Virginia and stayed in South Carolina for a couple of weeks (love Alexandria and Charleston) and DD has stayed in Texas awhile and worked in Atlanta, I benefited from her memories and photographs.

Southern food has contributed so much to American food, delicious!

I took Southern Living magazine for a long time, not only for the recipes, but photos of homes.  I love it when they highlight beautiful parts of the South, places to stay, restaurants, all of it.

OMG, I would love it!  From what I've read about Savannah, it has a lot in common with San Francisco, both being port cities and benefiting from all that brings.

Your architecture there is so beautiful!
