I too was not pleased with Bic and have been using Paper Mate.  I would rather make lists using a ballpoint pen than use my printer ink for every little thing and I don't like pulling out my smartphone either for lists, notes, memos.  Once that smartphone is in my purse it stays there until I get a text or phone call.
