Just a heads up -
I have to send something to Alaska for a Xmas gift. In checking Swiss Colony, Figi’s and Harry & David, they all charged $10 shipping in the price range I’m looking at, PLUS another $10-15 to ship to Alaska. So a $30 gift would cost me $50. Pretty annoying.
Hickory Farms currently has FREE shipping on any item $35+, they don’t charge any surcharge to ship to AK and HI, and in my state no sales tax. AND - as many people in AK have PO boxes, if you buy one of their non-perishable, not gourmet boxes, you can ship it to a PO box.
I was able to send a nice, if not lavish, box of meat, cheese, crackers and mustard to AK for a grand total of $36.
Thought people who were contemplating sending that type of thing to AK or HI might want to know you can save $20 and up through Hickory Farms.
