I don't want to open old wounds, Gooday, because I knew what you meant. But I just want to say that a black kid living with a caucasian family would be no different than living with a black family. We all are pretty much the same ... it wouldn't be akin to living with martians ... really. But you know that already.

Croemer thanks for sharing, that is so sweet. When I read stories like this I am convinced animals have complete compassion. Idgie doesn't care that she is a dog and isn't "supposed" to get along with a cat, she just gives her protection and unconditional love. If only people could be the same way about their differences.
