Re: Anxiety worse in the morning....

I used to wake up every morning feeling somewhat anxious. I finally mentioned it to my doctor one day. She put me on a low-dose anti-depressant that I take before going to bed at night. Seems to have helped, so I keep taking it. In my case, taking it at night seemed to be the key.

Good luck to all in a similar boat. It's not a pleasant feeling.

I have 2 friends who experienced the same thing after menopause. The anti-depressant has been a godsend.

I'm the opposite. My anxiety surfaces once I'm in bed. I feel every ache, pain and flutter and am sure I will not wake-up the next morning. It has become worse since my father died in his sleep last summer.

OP, I've found a good therapist can do so much to help us with so many aspects of our lives. Good luck.
